ITV Schedules “Celebrity Millionaire: Remembrance Special” For November 9th
ITV is bringing back the long running quiz show Who Wants to be a Millionaire?, hosted by Chris Tarrant, for another of its sporadic celebrity specials. This time they will be doing Celebrity Millionaire: Remembrance Special. The Remembrance Special will air Wednesday, November 9th, at 8:00PM. Members of the Royal Navy, Royal Army, and Royal Air Force will team up with some of the UK's favorite celebrities to win up to £1,000,000 for the Forces Benevolent Fund. The previous celebrity specials were live, though there is no indication whether this will be. GSN Features Different Programs Each Night Starting November 7th
GSN is revamping their recently struggling primetime lineup starting November 7th. Instead of featuring the same shows night after night, GSN will showcase different programs, both old and new, from 7:00PM ET to 12:00AM ET. These shows carry on at least through the week of November 14th. We don't have schedules after that, so if shows rotate after that it's not known. If you're a fan of the old shows, you may want to watch Fridays to show the network you want to see more of these shows. Click here to read about all the new schedule changes.

“Fear Factor” Revival Set to Debut December 12th
NBC's upcoming revival of Fear Factor has a debut date. The new series will start on Monday, December 12th, with a two hour premiere. The show tests people's abilities to cope with their fears in physical, mental, and emotional challenges. The eventual champion will win $50,000. Producers are promising all new modern stunt technology, a new HD look for the show, and bigger and better challenges. Joe Rogan returns as host. In a statement to Entertainment Weekly, NBC alternative chief Paul Telegdy said, “The fans of the original show are not going to be disappointed and Rogan is exactly the same — it’s classic, it looks amazing. I had forgotten why this show has the best title in TV — fear is a primal instinct that you rarely see engaged on television.” Are you looking forward to seeing it again?

GSN Acquires “Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader”; Debuts November 6th
GSN has acquired the rights to the hit Fox game show Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader. The Jeff Foxworthy hosted quiz show, which tested adults on material that appears somewhere in fifth grade text books, will begin airing Sunday, November 6th, at 7:00PM ET on GSN. Fifth Grader ran from 2007 to 2009 on Fox in primetime and from 2009 to 2011 in syndication as a half hour version. The Hub currently airs the half hour syndicated episodes. GSN has not indicated yet if this will be the hour long million dollar edition or not, but given the half hour edition airs with The Hub and both the syndicated half hour episodes of Deal or No Deal and Millionaire never did that well for them, I'd guess it would be the primetime episodes. ABC Schedules “Million Dollar Mind Game” For Sunday Afternoons Starting October 23rd
This is incredibly bizarre, but enjoy it while you can. ABC is effectively burning off the long-delayed Million Dollar Mind Game on Sunday afternoons starting October 23rd. Yes, you read that correctly: Sunday afternoons. According to Sitcoms Online it airs at 4:00PM ET/2:00PM PT. Eagle-eyed readers will have noticed that a commenter connected to the show leaked this to us yesterday. I pulled the comment until I could get verification. It's apparently true. No idea what they are expecting to do at 4:00PM ET, but it's a treat for us game show fans. Click here to learn more about the show and what to expect.

Fall 2011 Game Show Season Debut Dates
We've got some cool features on The Hub's Family Game Night and Scrabble Showdown coming soon. However, when discussing some things with readers on Twitter this morning, I got a lot of questions regarding when your favorite game shows would be debuting. The usual debut month is September, and with that quickly approaching I thought having a run down of the new debut dates and what to expect would be smart. GSN Revamps September 2011 Schedule
Starting next week (August 29th) and through September at the very least, GSN will undergo some significant schedule changes. Gone are newer shows like Improv-A-Ganza, Love Triangle, and Lingo. They are going back to their roster of shows that work and that viewers still enjoy. Classic fans are getting an extra late night hour of shows as well. Click here to read about all the changes.

Rumor Control: ABC’s “You Deserve It!” Debuts November in Post-”Dancing With the Stars” Slot
It's rare that we get some actual news on the weekends but we've got something interesting. ABC has been doing heavy casting for their new quiz show You Deserve It!, hosted by The Bachelor's Chris Harrison. The quiz show lets contestants play for someone else which leads to a surprise reveal of the cash. The game wasn't anything that new or special but it's very obvious that the point is the emotional ending which goes well with ABC's female driven base. We may have a debut date. Good morning, everyone. We've been pretty busy around here recently, and couple that with lack of any remotely interesting news to make a pretty slow day or so. However, over the past day and a half, a few interesting stories. Not that much is going on in America right now, but collectively over the world we've found some interesting stories. Stories this morning include the return of a classic game show to GSN's weekend schedule, casting notices for a new New York-based quiz show and a Sky show in the UK, taping information for ITV's upcoming live Millionaire celebrity special, and a new version of The Cube is coming. TeenNick Brings Back Reruns of “Guts”, “Double Dare” and “Legends” with “The ’90s are All That”
A few years back there was a network called Nick Games and Sports which really didn't get a good amount of attention but showed basically all of the old Nickelodeon game shows that kids that grew up in the 90s, such as myself, remembered. It wasn't regular viewing but if nothing else was on it was always interesting to see a bit of something that you haven't seen since you were ten. If you miss those shows, you'll be getting another chance to see them. TeenNick, a network I did not know even existed until today, will officially be launching a new block called "The '90s are All That" starting on July 25th. NBC’s “It’s Worth What” Debuts July 12th
NBC has officially announced the debut date of their new game show It's Worth What?. The Cedric the Entertainer-hosted cost-analysis game show will debut on Tuesday, July 12th, at 8:00PM ET. The show asks a pair of contestants to try to estimate the price of various physical and non-physical items through several rounds. If the team can go all the way, they'll leave with $1,000,000. The show is a revamped version of a former GSN flea market themed game show developed by television personality Lara Spencer. It's Worth What? is produced by Merv Griffin Entertainment.

GSN Launches Two New Shows April 11th
GSN viewers have two new shows to look forward to starting tomorrow, April 11th. First, the much anticipated Drew Carey's Improv-A-Ganza bows at 8:00PM ET and 11:00PM ET. If you read this site or many other places, you're well aware that it's essentially a continuation of Whose Line is it Anyway?. Next, we haven't talked about it much, but GSN is also launching a new relationship talk/game show, Love Triangle, at 7:00PM ET and 11:30PM ET. GSN's schedule is also getting a revamp.
