The new OCA is listing the dates for the tapings of the 2007 World Series of Pop Culture to be seen on VH1. If you want to be a part of it, apply for tickets here. Taping is on March 22nd, 23rd, and 24th. The show is still hosted by the very impressive Pat Kiernan and will take place in The Grand Ballroom at Manhattan Center Studios. If you’re in the audience on the 22nd or 23rd, you can win many Sony prizes like the far overpriced PS3 and maybe the awesome Nintendo Wii.
Our good friends at Embassy Row informed us that there were server outages last night for the 7PM ET “World Series of Pop Culture” PCIQ test. The 10PM ET test was administered successfully, however. They are rescheduling the first exam for Tuesday, February 20th, at 7PM ET, so get to Wikipedia and get studying.
You can take the exam here.
Our good friends at Embassy Row and VH1 have announced that the “World Series of Pop Culture” online qualifying exam, the PCIQ, will take place Wednesday, February 14th, at 7PM ET and 10PM ET. Anyone can take part in the standardized pop culture quiz to make it on VH1’s game show “World Series of Pop Culture” and possibly take away $250,000. OCA has posted the “World Series of Pop Culture” audience site up again. It lists no dates as of yet, but we’re hearing that it’ll be in the area of March 22-March 24th. If you’re going to be in New York City at that time, try to get there, it’ll be fun. If it’s anything like last time as well, you’ll have a chance to win prizes. How can you lose?
As you noticed, we changed the site a bit. We’re joining Embassy Row to cast people for the second season of “World Series of Pop Culture”, airing on VH1. If you click the top logo, it will take you to the site to register and will give you the audition cities. As a little heads up, the returning champs: El Chupacabra will be returning to take home the trophy and another $250,000. The terrific Pat Kiernan will be returning as host. Before we get comments: no, the site won’t be staying like this forever or for very long. We just want to get the point across to people to sign up. Plus, I have to be honest, I like this look much better. We might have to think of something less empty in the near future. However, back on topic, we would LOVE to get a crew of BuzzerBlog readers to try out and make the show, so get out there!
In the mean, I’d like to do one thing before Thanksgiving. We’re going to steal an idea from our good friends at TVSquad: What are five things you are thankful for this year game show wise? Please comment or email what you are most thankful for this game/reality/casino year. Unless some breaking news comes, Buzzer will be on hiatus until Sunday, so I would like to say what I am thankful for: your continued reading. You ladies and gentlemen make BuzzerBlog what it is, and you are making us one of the most popular game show sites on the net after a little more than a year. We thank you and hope to see you back next week. Have a terrific break.
