We couldn’t possibly end our custom Deal or No Deal world tour without going to where it all started, The Netherlands. It’s arguably the most unique version of the show still existing and one of the few primetime versions of the shows not to sell out to the American way completely. The reason why their show is so amazing is because of the gigantic spectacle it is. A 500 person audience is narrowed down to six through an extensive quiz. The six come on stage and play another buzzer oriented trivia game which narrows it to two. The two have to fight over a buy-out to leave the game or play one final question. The sole survivor of the audience plays for 5,000,000 euro. The most money won was around 1.25 million euro, which I saw and was one of the most thrilling events I’ve seen on television. It’s my personal favorite version of the show and the most amazing game show I’ve ever seen because the cases part of the show seems like what it should, a bonus game. The entire show is made into an event-like program, and it’s scheduled only six episodes every few months which gives it off well. Plus, again, they have the best music package for the show out of any country, plus one of the better hosts: Linda DeMol. Take a look. Later we will have one final Deal video: what our show should be like all the time.

The original version of Deal or No Deal, Miljoenenjacht, is returning to Dutch airwaves for a brief Spring run, likely either 6 or 7 weekly episodes. The hunt for a top prize of €5,000,000 will return on Sunday May 6, around 3:30 PM Eastern time. In the mean time, Tien’s Sunday night fare (early Sunday afternoon in the States) is the original version of 1 vs. 100, a superior show named Eén tegen 100. You can watch a live stream of Tien’s programming via their web site.
- At the top of the show, the models come in a-la US Deal.
- After the 6 players for the final questioning round are chosen, there is a new question round that is a lot like the old Greed qualifier round. The person whose answer is farthest away is eliminated, unless somebody bails out. If somebody does bail, they pick one of the colored cases, which have varying consolation prizes in them. The question round with 2 people is the same as last season.

I know we have a lot of fans of the Dutch version of “Deal or No Deal”, or “Miljoenenjacht” around here. This is just a friendly remidner that if you are bored around the house tomorrow, the season premiere, hosted by Linda DeMol, will be at 2:30PM ET as of now, but it might change. On some occasions, the network feed does not go over the internet, so it really varies, but we’re hoping it works. We might have a chat on ClassicGameShows as always, so be sure you check it out.
Miljoenenjacht (”Deal or No Deal” from Netherlands) finally has a few updates. First off, they updated their site. It only took them 3 or 4 years, eh? Second, it looks like they have some new shiny cases, as the first picture denotes. Third, the episode order has been extended to four episodes as of now, airing November 19th and every Sunday after that at 2:30PM ET, but this could change at any time. Be sure to check back here and watch what is, in my opinion, the best version of “Deal or No Deal” in the world.
And Linda DeMol is hot.
This just in: Talpa is stating that the return of the original and my personal favorite version of “Deal or No Deal”, “Miljoeoenjacht”, returns on November 19th at roughly 3:30PM ET. If it’s available to be watched over the live feed, you know we’ll give it to you. In “Miljoenenjacht”, 500 contestants play a trivia competition. By the end of all the eliminations, only one survives and plays the “Deal or No Deal” bonus round for up to 5,000,000 euro. We will give you more information as we get it.
