A Few GSN Updates
We have a few GSN updates that I figured would be best to just place all in one post instead of a few spanning far too much of the page. *First off, we will have a full preview of Bingo America later tonight. It's better than How Much is Enough?, I swear. *Second, Wink Martindale is coming back to GSN Live (which you should really check out if you haven't, it's a lot of fun), but not as a guest. No, this time he will actually be hosting the show as regular host Fred Roggin takes the week of March 24th off. Friday's guest will be host of The Hollywood Squares Peter Marshall as well. This is Wink's first hosting job in quite some time, isn't it? *Next, I would really like to apologize, I completely misjudged How Much is

GSN's debuting a new show tonight! It's not a word game! Their new strategy game How Much Is Enough? sees the light of day (or night) tonight at 9:00PM ET. In the show, contestants basically buzz in to stop a money clock counting from $0 to a predetermined value or from a predetermined value to $0. The catch is the person who banks the most in the round (or the most AND least in the final $5,000 round) gets nothing for that clock. The two players with the most money have their scores combined and play for it all in the Final Face Off. The clock counts from $0 to their combined total. Whoever stops the clock first takes home whatever is on it. Again, if you go into this show expecting a half hour with high action and fast gameplay

We couldn't give you a video preview of GSN's new game show How Much is Enough?, but will an online game work? The game is the exact same thing as the show (no $10,000 bonus for winning, though) except, for some reason, you play against the computer except people. GSN used to always make online multi-player games for their shows, but recently they've stuck to the embeddable mini games. You really don't get the full experience of the game unless you can actually face other people. The computers are a bit more risky than you'll see on TV. Also, don't worry, the clock on TV moves faster so you don't have to sit through endless minutes of $1 increases. But regardless, it's not a bad little game and you get the idea for the show. In terms of recent GSN shows, it's one of the more enjoyable ones in recent time, so be sure to check it out. You can click below to play the game, or click the link at the top of the post to go directly to GSN's page and play it.

GSN is launching a new original on Tuesday, January 8th, called How Much Is Enough?. The game is honestly excessively simplistic and easy. A clock starts from $0 and goes to a predetermined dollar value or starts at a predetermined dollar value and goes to $0. Just don't be the greediest person (or the cheapest either on the final $5,000 clock) and you win what's on it. That's it. No special bells and whistles. Not a gigantic neon set. Just a simple, nicely budgeted game of strategy and some body language, and that's just fine. By just understanding that it's not some spectacle of game play amazement, the show comes off as a fun half hour. One keeping this show afloat is host Corbin Bernsen. He is absolutely fantastic. If he's reading a teleprompter I can't tell, and that's what comes from a host who has TV experience and knows how to do things. With all due respect to people like Dylan Lane of Chain Reaction, if someone like him hosted the show would be terrible. Corbin keeps the game moving, can slow down the game and talk to the contestants while not making it boring, and creates a nice level of tension. Speaking of tension, watch out for the final clock where you'll see tens of thousands of dollars available. Beyond Grand Slam, it's the one of the more suspenseful thing I've seen on GSN in quite some time.

I have to be honest, GSN's new game show How Much is Enough? is in my most anticipated file. Am I strange for that? I'm not a huge fan of the relatively brainless shows, but there's just something about this which is keeping my interest. I think it's the strategy part of the gameplay. You have to just convince your opponent to play on for a longer period of time so you can wrack up more money while hoping to be in second place. Plus the end game interests me too. In the end game, buzz in whenever you want and you get what's on the Money Clock, with the top prize being the two highest scoring player's totals combined. Yeah, you can buzz in early and take something tiny, but you have to actually convince your opponent not to press it. This game really hinges on one thing though: they need to make sure there are contestants who are going to talk and bicker with other contestants. If it's just absolute silence, it's going to get very boring. Am I the only one that's excited for this? I hope not. GSN updated their photo gallery with some new pictures of game play, and we're the only ones that will show you as usual. There's a few tiny spoilers, but nothing to be worried about. Notice that the floor also has a Money Clock. How cool is

A while ago GSN was casting for their new original show How Much is Enough?. They have their contestants, who have been applying online or in person for the last two months. They also have their host: Corbin Bernsen. This might be one of GSN's more high profile hosts in quite some time; probably since Chuck Woolery. He's been on the hit TV show L.A. Law, the major movie Major League, and currently can be seen on USA's Psych. Plus he was on my personal favorite reality show which is The Mole. Corbin was on both celebrity seasons of it. He's become very involved in the game show industry recently; specifically GSN. Corbin had appearances on I've Got A Secret as well as produced a pilot called Carry Your Weight back in January of this year. Good news about the format! It's not a word game! It may have no trivia or real skill, but a non-word game puts a smile on my face. Quite simply, through different rounds, a giant electronic money clock will count up from $0 or a predetermined dollar value. Four players have to secretly lock in when they want the clock to stop and take whatever money is present. There is some strategy and psychology going on here, as you have to convince your opponent to play on too long, as there should be some point where you can't take any money into the next round. The final two contestant's scores are combined for the end, and that's the max the money clock can go to. It starts at a low value and continues to count up. The first

(My spelling error to the right is fixed. I'm apparently drunk, sorry) With shows like Chain Reaction and Camouflage not looking like they are returning, GSN's jumping back into the original bandwagon with a new show either called Nerve Center or How Much is Enough?. It's called How Much Is Enough? on an email we were provided, so we'll go with that for now. Though, to be honest, I much prefer Nerve Center. One of the biggest issues I've had with recent GSN shows is that they don't follow the current trend in popular shows like Deal or No Deal. There's something to be said that they've tried some decent brainy shows and different ideas, but you have to conform a tiny bit to get some of those viewers in. GSN's finally doing that in this show which professes you need no knowledge or skill to win. I love quizzers like That's The Question, but one Deal ripoff can get some viewers back. We still fully suggest Take It or Leave It, but this may do just fine. Here's the posting. The Game Show Network, and BBC Worldwide the Producers of "Dancing With the Stars", and "Grease: You're The One That I Want" bring the new game show How Much Is Enough. Do you have what it takes to psych out the competition and walk away victorious? Do you know just the right time to push for more and when to play it safe? -- How Much Is Enough is the new game show that tests a contestant's ability to determine how much is enough, and when do you keep pushing for more? Four contestants are
