ITV Picks Up Quiz Show “The Exit List” Thumbnail

ITV Picks Up Quiz Show “The Exit List”

In a fast turnaround, ITV has picked up the Sony Pictures Television game show The Exit List.  The Exit List sees a team of contestants descend into a 24 square grid lined up in a pyramid shape.  Each square has cash up to £100,000. To claim it the team must answer a multiple choice question correct.  If they are correct they bank the cash and only that correct answer is added to The Exit List.  If they are wrong, though, all four answers are added and the path directly in front of them is locked.  After they've banked all they want to they can end the game and take home their cash, but only if they can remember the list of answers.  A team can win up to £200,000.  The series will be presented by Matt Allwright.  ABC commissioned a pilot for the format.  Click here to see a photo from the show and more on what to expect.

Donny Osmond to Host CBS’s “Secret Fortune”

As we previously reported, CBS has picked up a pilot for the hit BBC lottery quiz show Secret Fortune, which we previously covered often.  The pilot is moving forward and it has a host.  Donny Osmond has been tapped to host the pilot of the quiz show. Donny Osmond previously hosted the game show Pyramid in 2002 in England for Challenge later.  Other hosting experience includes his own talk shows, Identity for BBC, and The Great American Dream Vote for ABC.  Secret Fortune sees a couple trying to eliminate a number of envelopes from a possible 24 by answering questions correctly.  The final envelope not removed from play is the couple's secret fortune, which can range from big money or small cash.  Wild Rover, who has ABC's Take The Money and Run coming soon, developed the show.  Secret Fortune is executive produced by Nigel Lythgoe.

Joe Rogan to Host “Fear Factor” Revival

The search for the final piece of the Fear Factor revival puzzle has been found, and we're back to where we started.  Original host, comedian and actor Joe Rogan, will host the updated version of NBC's popular game show.  Joe hosted the show from 2001 to 2006.  The revival was officially announced in June.  An eight episode series will air later this season. Rogan told TV Guide, "It doesn't seem real. It seems like some sort of bizarro dream world. But I'm looking forward to it. The idea of sitting at home and watching someone else host it would have driven me crazy."  Executive producer Matt Kunitz says the new series could be ready as early as September.  Click here for more information on the revival.
