“American Gladiators” Season Two Pictures

The second season of American Gladiators has been taping in the Los Angeles Memorial Sports Arena, and to say the set is larger this year is an understatement. It’s unbelievably massive. Sadly, though, there are not any gigantic pictures of the set, but we do have these shots of some of the events. Click them to expand the image. As you see in the first one, they put caps over the Powerball scoring zones so you can’t make a free throw anymore. One of the pictures is also of the new event Vertigo. It looks to be pretty exciting. All told we’re hearing there may be up to seven new events total this season so it seems they learned from some of their mistakes last time around. Enjoy!

First Look at “Bingo America”

Here’s another one of BuzzerBlog’s first looks at a new game show. This time we go to GSN’s new show: Bingo America. Somehow, nothing is known of the rules so far. All I know is that people apparently earn letters by answering questions and it seems like if you spell BINGO, you win a bank. The winner at the end plays the Bonus Board where you apparently can win $100,000. This is GSN’s first show to regularly offer a six figure sum since Russian Roulette, and it’s very appreciated that some money is being put into a show. Bingo America debuts on March 31st at 7:00PM ET on GSN. And yes, the gigantic bingo hopper from ABC survives.

“My Dad is Better Than Your Dad” Photo Gallery

Whenever one show becomes popular, you are bound to get some clones. When Deal or No Deal came out, we had Show Me the Money and Set For Life. 1 VS 100 gave us Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader. With American Gladiators we were bound to get some stunt shows, and the first is My Dad is Better Than Your Dad. As I’m hearing, it’s a big-money far-too-serious version of Double Dare. However, it’s probably one of the few shows on TV that the entire family can enjoy so that means something I suppose. My Dad is Better Than Your Dad debuts on February 18th at 9:00PM ET on NBC.

“Amne$ia” Photo Gallery

Coming up in a few hours we’ll have a photo gallery of what looks to be Double Dare taken way too seriously: My Dad is Better Than Your Dad.  But for now we have Dennis Miller’s new hosting vehicle, Amne$ia.  What’s shocking is that the show is debuting in two weeks and not a thing is known about it beyond the basic idea of people answering questions about events that have happened in their life for money.  Many people have been calling it a Moment of Truth ripoff, which I am guilty of too.  Looks nothing like it, so it may be a bit more interesting that I guessed.  Check out the pictures and the actual show which debuts on February 22nd at 9:00PM ET on NBC.

“American Gladiators” Event Photos

We have loads of pictures from NBC’s revived series of American Gladiators debuting January 6th.  The old events are basically the same only made more extreme, like The Wall and Joust being over water.  Look for an amazing new tweak to Assault which will see the Gladiator sent sky high if he or she loses.  All of this is really making me anticipate the new series.  Plus Helga scares the living crap out of me, and I’ve played hockey for around 20 years.

Small “1 VS 100″ Photo Gallery

NBC updated their press archive with a few pictures of the upcoming season of 1 VS 100.  The only major change is that the monitor displaying different items is in the center of the Mob area instead of to the side.  At least to me it really throws off the entire foreboding vibe that the Mob carries.  However, they have to get their camera angles any way they can.  I’ll try to get some zoomed-out shots later, including pictures of gameplay.

And there is one thing I wanted to discuss.  We’ve all made it blatantly clear that a vast majority of us do not like the new rules at all.  However, please don’t let it stop you from watching and enjoying the show.  This is the only rather-hard trivia show to come out in quite some time and the fact that the rules are a bit screwy doesn’t change the fact that it should be a challenging and entertaining hour long quiz show.  If you want to see more Deal or No Deal clones, then just stop watching because of the rule changes.  However, it sure isn’t making me turn away and hope it doesn’t for you either.

“How Much is Enough” Game Play Gallery

I have to be honest, GSN’s new game show How Much is Enough? is in my most anticipated file.  Am I strange for that?  I’m not a huge fan of the relatively brainless shows, but there’s just something about this which is keeping my interest.  I think it’s the strategy part of the gameplay.  You have to just convince your opponent to play on for a longer period of time so you can wrack up more money while hoping to be in second place.  Plus the end game interests me too.  In the end game, buzz in whenever you want and you get what’s on the Money Clock, with the top prize being the two highest scoring player’s totals combined.  Yeah, you can buzz in early and take something tiny, but you have to actually convince your opponent not to press it.

This game really hinges on one thing though: they need to make sure there are contestants who are going to talk and bicker with other contestants.  If it’s just absolute silence, it’s going to get very boring.  Am I the only one that’s excited for this?  I hope not.  GSN updated their photo gallery with some new pictures of game play, and we’re  the only ones that will show you as usual.  There’s a few tiny spoilers, but nothing to be worried about.  Notice that the floor also has a Money Clock.  How cool is that?

“How Much is Enough” Photo Gallery

GSN gave us some pictures of the set of their new game show, How Much is Enough?, plus host Corbin Bernsen.  Enjoy.  Interesting looking set.  And hey, at least it has an audience for a change.  What are those yellow-looking things above the audience, though?

New “Price is Right” Set Pictures

It’s the moment many of you have been waiting for.  CBS has released some pictures of the new The Price is Right set which will see its televised debut on October 15th on CBS.  The picture to the left is a full set picture and more can be found by clicking here.  It’s extremely nice looking; it maintains the old 70s look of the show while keeping it modern.  Love the lighting too.  If you’re a regular reader of this site, you may know that I’m not really a fan of The Price is Right.  However, all these changes are really getting me excited.  Be on the lookout for more Price information.  The new season debuts in two weeks so new items will be flying in constantly.
