Being the dirty dirty liberal that I am, I got a large chuckle out of this. As you may know, President Bush appeared on Deal or No Deal on Monday’s show, wishing a contestant luck. The contestant only wound up (prior to the Deal Wheel) with $26,000 so that’s some luck there. But that’s not [...]

I was at a party on Wednesday and not feeling too well on Thursday. I took some NyQuil to hopefully feel better and I thought it was working. I realized it wasn’t working as well as it should when I saw that the current president, George W. Bush, is going to make a [...]

We’ve got two items of news about NBC’s Deal or No Deal for you today. First, let’s talk about the world tour which has the potential to be fantastic. They will be traveling, on May 5th, to Estonia, to play for $1,000,000. Next on May 7th will be the Philippines and finally on the 14th [...]
One of our readers has found some episodes of American Gladiators on iTunes. In addition to NBC season one, there are six-packs of classic episodes from seasons one and two and from three and four. The NBC season costs $14.99, while the classic six-packs are $9.99. Individual episodes from either set are $1.99 each.
In the category of news that basically everyone knows by now but I was really busy yesterday, Al Roker has been announced as the host of NBC’s primetime celebrity run of the hit syndicated game show Family Feud. The announcement was made on Monday’s Today show to make for some nice cross promotion there. John [...]

NBC announced their Fall 2008 primetime schedule far in advance, as well as their Winter 2009 and Summer 2009. They are getting rid of a vast majority of their game shows and sticking with scripted which I suppose is good. I’m a gigantic 30 Rock fan so I’m glad to see it’s sticking [...]
Is this the year of Family Feud or what? Let’s look at all the things in its favor.
*It’s the only syndicated show to actually gain viewers from year to year.
*GSN picked up the rerun rights to the current John O’Hurley edition of the show.
*ION picked up the rerun rights as well.
And now, NBC has picked [...]
I have to tell you, for the most part, this season’s Deal or No Deal gimmicks have been fantastic. They really change the game into something new and exciting, like Winner Takes All. Of course not all are hits, like the Million Dollar Mission. However, I think this one’s going to be a hit: Deal’s [...]

A lot of game shows were on the major networks Friday. I was out at a party so I didn’t get to check all of them out, but a few notes.
1: Wow, Drew Carey has to be the luckiest person in the universe. First Power of 10 and now Price is Right.
2: Amne$ia wasn’t as [...]

Was it a huge shock to anyone that My Dad is Better Than Your Dad bombed? I honestly think (and it’s probably true) that some major Hollywood players, like Mark Burnett, can pitch a show with the flimsiest and, to be honest, dumbest of concepts and get it picked up because that’s the person that’s [...]
