It's time to face the hole...again. The popular Japanese game segment Hole in the Wall is back in America and this time it's going to Cartoon Network. The network recently ordered ten half-hour episodes. The show is turning from Fox's all-adult version which came and went quickly to a new family version, pairing up kids and adults together. It should work much better like this. Hole in the Wall is currently casting. Teams of three can compete and they need to all be connected in some way, shape, or form (like family members, teams, classes, etc). There must be at least one kid who is at least 12 years old and at least one adult over the age of 18. If you want to be considered visit Hole in the Wall's casting page by clicking here. After the break is even more information and a casting video provided to us by producers.

Don't we all love lists? Well, not really, but this one's pretty interesting. Television Business International recently compiled a list of the ten most popular game show formats of 2009. This wasn't based on their personal favorites or what the few random readers chose in a poll. This is all based off of which shows got the most eyeballs around the globe last year. A lot of the choices aren't surprises at all, but a few are really shocking.

I'm a big fan of the whole public relations/publicity thing. I have a lot of friends in it, so I enjoy hearing about it. The only thing I will give FOX's Hole in the Wall, when it first came out, was that it was marketed correctly. It was just a dumb, silly stunt show. They carried it way too seriously occasionally, but they didn't overly make it out to be something it wasn't. Of course that doesn't help the fact that the show sucks and can't sustain itself as its own show, but I figured I'll give them something. Ratings suffered and the show was quickly pulled from the lineup. FOX announced it would return in January a while ago, but truthfully I forgot about it. It was apparently on last Sunday. Go figure. Sunday night isn't exa

FOX's Hole in the Wall has been a relative failure. What a surprise! In an order to get some interest in the show, FOX has bumped ahead what will be very liberally called celebrity episodes. It's as vague of a celebrity show as you can get. Coming up next week will be the personally dubbed "Skanks of VH1 Edition of Hole in the Wall"! You'll be seeing the walking petrie dishes from Flavor of Love face off against the girls of Rock of Love. Both shows which they come from see women wanting television fame dating formerly famous musicans (Flavor Flav and Bret Michaels, respectively) in an effort to gain some minor fame which will probably lead to a starring role in an original Cinemax movie. After the show is over they're going to boi

FOX gave us yet another clip of their new show Hole in the Wall. In this one, you get a behind the scenes look at it. I think we may have a new drinking game. We need to take a shot every time co host Mark Thompson says "It's time to face the hole," which may be the worst game show catch phrase I've ever heard. Again, I think host Brooke Burns is doing a very nice job on this. [stream flv=x:/www.flashgameshows.com/wordpress/videos/holebts.flv width=630 height=343 bandwidth=med /]

Just to firmly establish the point that the summer rarely has any good shows on and you should really be outside enjoying yourselves instead of watching television, FOX greenlit the game show Hole in the Wall for 13 episodes. The show's basically human Tetris to some extent: just fit your body through hole in a wall that's coming at you rapidly. If you do it you move on. If you don't you fall into water. Cynopsis says that it's a hit in several foreign territories but I think they need to be aware that the show is not stand alone; it's part of a larger show because no one is that obsessed with television to watch an hour of this. But hey, if you think you can, watch the clip below eight times in a row.
