Cartoon Network’s “Hole in the Wall” Now Casting

It’s time to face the hole…again.  The popular Japanese game segment Hole in the Wall is back in America and this time it’s going to Cartoon Network.  The network recently ordered ten half-hour episodes.  The show is turning from Fox’s all-adult version which came and went quickly to a new family version, pairing up kids and adults together.  It should work much better like this.  Hole in the Wall is currently casting.  Teams of three can compete and they need to all be connected in some way, shape, or form (like family members, teams, classes, etc).  There must be at least one kid who is at least 12 years old and at least one adult over the age of 18.  If you want to be considered visit Hole in the Wall‘s casting page by clicking here.

…I applied back when it was on About.com. Hmph. They didn’t mention you’d need to audition in California (though I guess I should have expected as such), so that rules me out…

Since when did Cartoon Network stop trying to be creative and start trying to copy Nickelodeon and Disney XD? Oh, right, since trying to put the “Mooninites” fiasco of 2007 behind them.

Really, this sort of thing belongs on Nickelodeon (or Disney XD), but this being the modern-day “cheap time slot filler for the lowest bidder” Cartoon Network, I guess I shouldn’t be surprised (especially since they’ve become toothless since fumbling the rights to Futurama and Naruto and replacing it with King of the Hill and whatever cheap live-action/reality TV crap they could find).

Back on topic, I never watched Hole In The Wall, but the network needed that show like they needed a hole in the head.
