BuzzerVision: Sneak Peek at “Celebrity Family Feud”
Sorry about the promised Celebrity Family Feud pictures. We had a few interesting developments for the show. First, we were invited to a conference call that took place on Tuesday. We’ll get that up soon. But also we were supplied with a lot of clips and more of the new NBC primetime game show which is a spinoff of the popular syndicated edition hosted by John O’Hurley. Below is a video preview with the show’s introduction, one face off, and a behind the scenes look. The set’s stereotypical game show atire: dark, black, and blue. The classic theme does not work on this set at all and I’m a bit shocked that people are so attached to the past that they can’t get with a simple thing like keeping a central theme. From what I’ve seen, host Al Roker is more of the Ray Combs/Richard Karn like host than the John O’Hurley/Richard Dawson like, so you’ll like him depending on which style you liked more.

I believe the first African-American to host a game show was Adam Wade on CBS’ Musical Chairs in the 70s. And don’t forget Leslie Uggams, who co-hosted Fantasy on NBC with Peter Marshall.
I also think the ’94 theme would suit this better. *nods* On the hosting side, I’m a Combs and Karn (underrated, IMO) gal, sooooo… I’m hopeful.
this screams out the 94 theme. im not suprised they didnt update the theme the way TPIR did when Drew Carey took over.
This isnt the final product. we wont know until the primeire this Tuesday on NBC but ill watch it. The graphics are kinda cool.
And according to the Celebrity Feud website on NBC.com the are using the execs of the O’Hurley Feud and UK’s Family Fortunes to produce this primetime show.
Who knows, if the shows a success perhaps Feud will be here to stay on primetime.
This video just makes me even more pumped for this show. The old Feud was great and throwing celebrities into the mix is just going to make it that much more interesting from the look of this promo. Plus, all the money goes to charity on this version.
Thanks for posting this promo! I will totally watch tonight.
