BuzzerVision Quickplay: “Britain’s Best Brain”

We’re going to try to bring you more content than ever as an attempt to say thanks for visiting so much. We’re going to look over the web for the best, funniest, and most unique game show videos we can find and bring one to you each night. Some may come from YouTube but a lot of them will be our own videos. We’ll have some of the British show The Chase which we promised a long time ago. But for now, here’s a new British game called Britain’s Best Brain. In a series of rounds the game is what the title says apparently. They try to find the best brains in Britain. You can actually play an online version here. It’s pretty addictive. Here’s the first two parts. More will be up tomorrow if you want to see it. What do you think?

I couldn't make it through the entire show – it feels like a rough version of the Krypton Factor.

Also – none of these people seem like they're anywhere close to Britain's Best Brain. At least on the Krypton Factor, which doesn't make the same claim to be fair, there is some actual pedigree to the contestants.

  • Wolfman2000 says:

I see two of the same first part, if YouTube's titles are to be believed. Is this intentional, or am I blind?

  • DeVares says:

It’s probably intentional. Anyway, this wouldn’t be bad for the U.S. either on GSN or syndication.

  • Adam says:

This is an opportunity for NBC to get back on the map.

  • Craig says:

If they can do a one-off of the Krypton Factor like they did in 1981, then I see no reason why they wouldn't do this. And, besides, how many of us uses all 5 parts of the brain anyway? I'm good with numbers. Co-ordination might be slightly off because I'm 45. Memory's a bit off. I'll wait & see what Recognition does but Risk? I'm a bit shaky on that one.

  • Neville says:

    Zzzzzzzz…

  • J.C. says:

Is this anything like Britain's Brainiest? (not having seen Brainiest I wouldn't know)

Also, to Craig: I believe ABC did the Krypton Factor, did they not?

  • Chris says:

Yes, for 5 weeks in 1981, hosted by Dick Clark.

  • Chris says:

I played and got 1061, how about you guys?

  • Tony DuMont says:

I got 648. Bottomed out on the Risk round.

This could work, but it would really help if it were edited down to a half-hour by eliminating the filler. Maybe it could be paired with a Krypton Factor revival. And everyone should take their Coordination test in the same round.
