Here it is: the final part of Sunday’s Dutch Deal or No Deal called Miljoenenjacht. It’s an extremely exciting finish so take a look and if you have any comments, as always, feel free to leave them.

He’s no Helma. :-P I would’ve loved to see the at-home winner’s reaction. Oh well… As Linda DeMol gets older, she gets better looking. There must be something in the Dutch water.
I wish our Deal or No Deal was 1/5 as good as Miljoenenjacht.

If I did my math correct, the top prize is somewhere around $7,800,000.00 USD. If I am wrong, please correct me.

According to an online currency converter, the 1,050,000 euros he won = $1,635,687.10 USD.
That’s truly amazing. I wish we had this here.

WOW! Alex, you were right, that is the best DOND anywhere. Maybe our version should start using that board?
also, a question: what was in his case?

Jack, you didn’t watch the whole thing!
You know, in terms of top prize, DOND is 1/5 as good as Miljoenenjacht. :)

If I were playing i would have turned down the 1,050,000, yeah that’s kinda crazy but with 1,000,000 on the baord too there was a lot of insurance. and Linda seems to get more excited than the contestant, If only Howie was like that. I wish I could speak dutch so I knew what they were saying. now it makes sense why they didn’t go here for the world tour, it would have made them look bad.

The Phillipines used the theme heard on this show. That theme was also featured in a World Tour episode when Howie visited the Phillipines.

He had the €5 million in his case. But €1.05M is hard to say no to.

At this point the outcomes could have been:
Knockout the 5m- just above the 200K that would become the 2nd highest value left
Knockout the 1m- it’s probably a stick or a very slight increase- 1.1-1.2 million
Knockout the 200K- a bigger increase, since the 1m would still be there- 1.5-1.6 million
Knockout the 1 euro or 500 euro- You’re probably looking at a close to 2 million euro offer…
I don’t blame the guy at all for dealing when he did… the average wage in the Netherlands is 25,000-30,000 Euro, so even if they take half the money for taxes, it’s still almost 20 years salary….

I know that anybody being offered that on American DOND would Deal from the moment Howie hanged up the phone.
1.05 Million in almost any currency is hard to pass up. Then again with his board, i think he should have gone one more. And the bank would have doubled the offer for a record breaking deal.
Seeing a big win like this makes me wish that we would finally have a million dollar winner on the Deals here in the states. Its do able. But wouldnt it be funny if the manage to give away the top prize on the upcoming daytime show, and they fail to do it in primetime.
