Hey, i got some big news. Last night, I saw a promo for the daytime “DOND” on CW11 (KSTW channel 11, SEATTLE/TACOMA WA for you folks!!) and I’m more than excited to see it! The time is TBA, even though the annoucer for the station said coming this fall,

the board is great, and it seems like they did everything right for DOND daytime. I dont see much set changes from the daytime show, but we’ll soon see as we aproach the new TV year in September.

Will the cases be brought down by models and then handed over by the in studio contestants (much like the Australian version).

The board is balanced just right if you ask me. You definitely will have some gutsy players go all the way to the end. It will make for some fun and dramatic endings!

The Syndie DoND is looking good all around. Can’t wait for it!

I agree that the money tree is well balanced…and am glad that the top prize is $500,000…and not the $250,000 that was originally thought.

I agree with CarShark…the “one case at a time ending” has become a vital part of the US version of the show. As (I think) many would agree, many US shows are built on the suspense factor. If they did it with the British tree (5-3-3-3-3-3), it would have less suspense. So, I think this set-up will work out well.

I like the prize tree, though seeing the $2,500 and $7,500 will take some getting used too… as well as the 5-5-4-2-2-1-1.

Take away the gimmickry and special editions and US DOND still has the most top-heavy prize structure of any version I’ve seen.

I think it’s because they didn’t want to lose the “one case at a time” ending. With five cases left, I think people are more apt to go “one more time” and succeed if they only have to open one or two cases. Reminds me of the Trevor DOND UK clip.

I do like the sound of this, as long as it’s not 22 overcaffinated contestants, I’ll be fine with it. I look forward to the daytime version…
