If you haven’t checked out Hollywood Junket’s blog, you really should.  It’s a fantastic resource and we’ll be working with them a lot in the future.  Thanks to them, we have some exclusive information on the syndicated edition of Deal or No Deal that you will only get from our two sites.  First, here’s the complete money chain:

$0.01          $1,000
$1               $2,500
$5               $5,000
$10             $7,500
$25             $10,000
$50             $25,000
$100           $50,000
$200           $75,000
$300           $100,000
$400           $250,000
$500           $500,000

That is, in my opinion, the absolutely perfect chain you can have.  It’s perfectly balanced.  The case selection is a tiny bit awkward, though.  It’s 5-5-4-2-2-1-1.  Don’t know why we didn’t stick with England’s 5-3-3-3-3-3 format, but whatever.  This is a tiny gripe.  Contestants can stay on for an entire week and then they are substituted, though their files are kept and they may be used for primetime and daytime versions.  That’s about as fair as you could make it with the weird taping schedule, I suppose.  The Deal Wheel, which is used to select contestants, is in the friends and family section.

Also, the part that is really going to make or break this version like it broke ours: the Banker.  Supposedly the Banker is basing offers on how well he likes a contestant.  Pretty similar to the British version where the Banker makes offers based on the player’s personality.  But again, executive producer Scott St. John has stated for our version in the past that offers will get more personal, but they rarely ever do.  He needs to follow through.

But all in all, my hopes are sky high for this version.  I just hope I’m not let down like I initially was with the NBC version.  Visit our good friends at HollywoodJunket.com to see some exclusive set pictures.
