Broadway Composer Creates “Power of 10″ Theme

Groove Addicts get a break for a change. Michael Davies has tapped Broadway composer Lewis Flinn to create the theme for CBS’s new game show Power of 10 which debuts on August 7th. Flinn has recently provided the score for the production The Little Dog Laughed, which is where Michael Davies (Embassy Row) found Flinn. According to Flinn, “Power of 10 will actually feature similar elements to the Little Dog score, but “with a lot more tension.”

Sounds like we’ll get a theme song that actually has a melody, like with Millionaire or D/ND, and not just a bunch of random ominous music like with “1 vs. 100″ or “Identity”. I’m not a Deal fan, but I love the theme…same with “5th Grader”.

I have to agree with you about most themes recently except 1 VS 100. I do agree that it seems like random ominous music, but I dig it for some reason. I can’t quite explain why, but it fills me with tension, excitement, and nerves like the show does. But you are right on that is is random.
