BREAKING RUMOR CONTROL: DAVE PRICE HOST OF “PRICE”?
According to a blog post on Newsday, Dave Price is the new host of “The Price is Right”. The reason this is in rumor control is because it’s a blog post, and it may be wrong. However, Newsday is a very respectable news source, and writer Vernon Green stated that a source told him. What source? Who knows. This states that Price will continue to do “The Early Show” from Monday through Thursday, fly to LA, and do “Price” on Fridays. Again, treat this as a rumor until official word comes in.

Dave Price? YOU gotta be Kidding me. I’d rather see Todd Newton.
Well, if this is true, it was a hell of a run for TPIR and for Bob. Thirty five years of fun, laughter and Bob walking through the Big Doors every morning with a smile on his face and a spring in his step. THIRTY FIVE YEARS. That will never be matched by anybody, ever.
And it’ll be sad to see it all die as quickly as it will with this dork as the host. I’m hoping that they’ll see the error of their ways before they make this official and give someone else a chance to audition (read: “Rich Fields”).
Is there any way we could convince CBS to choose Todd Newton before it’s too late?
TODD NEWTON? PLEASE, MARC SUMMERS ALL THE WAY FOR BARKERS REPLACEMENT.
Newton or Summers. Either one over Price! Please.
I am all for either Todd Newton or Marc Summers hosting. I haven’t seen Dave Price host this but I feel that really my vote is Todd Newton.
This actually doesn’t suprise me at all. Remember when they were asking who the fans wanted to replace Rod Roddy? I can remember a huge majority of fans wanting Randy West and yet CBS decided on Rich Fields. This doesn’t suprise me that they don’t want to listen to their fans. Enjoy this show while you still can.
Guys, calm down…NOTHING has been set in stone. And before you start planning the last episode of TPIR, Dave Price might be good. Might.
Good point, however I have to say I’d rather see Todd Newton, John O’Hurley, or maybe even Kennedy (i’m kidding about kennedy)
This is one from left field, and I know it won’t happen, but I think Jim Perry would knock everyone else out of the water, problem is, getting him back into the business.
