“Bingo America” Makes More Winners in 2009

First run episodes of GSN’s hit game show Bingo America may be over, but the winning for you home viewers is far from done.  A lot more money is coming your way if you play along weekdays at 6:30PM ET on GSN.  All this week, as normal, $50 is up for grabs if you get any Bingo during the show, or match your Bingo Bonus Numbers with the ones the contestant picks.  However, on Wednesday, $1,000 is on the line for any Bingo during the regular Winner Wednesdays.

On the week of January 12th, a special promotion giving away more money than ever.  For this week only, 250 winners will be made every day.  Right now only 100 winners are made each week so it’s a big increase and a better chance for you all to win some money for doing nothing more than printing cards at GSN.com.  On January 17th and 18th, it goes back to up to ten prizes worth $50 available.

Moving onto the week of January 19th, $1,000 is up for grabs for a Bingo.  Finally, from January 26th through April 5th, ten people can win $50 each show.  However, as a nice little promotion, during the week of February 9th, anyone who prints out a card is entered into a contest to win $5 towards heating/electric bills.  The same competition will be run the following week.  I’m hearing the show is doing pretty well this season, and the reception to the new host (Richard Karn) and the new end game has been great, so we may be seeing a new season by Fall 2009.

“Right now only 100 winners are made each week so it’s a big increase”
Eh, not entirely true. 100 winners are made each week at $50 for each win. The 250 winners promotion will only give $10 to each Bingo.

Quality typo, Alex. Five hundo, obv.

  • In addition it’s 100 winners per DAY during the premiere run, vs 250 $10 winners, so the budget is halved, not paying more. In addition, week four on forward its even worse with only 10 $50s per day $500 budget, and week 3 the biggest stinker of em all 1 $250 winner $250 budget.

If Bingo America does get a third season it’ll be the 3rd GSN original in their history to surpass the second season barrier. The first two which were Lingo and High Stakes Poker.

Say what you will about Richard Karn, Diane Mizota, technical presentation, etc. The only reason Bingo America is still around is because people want to win money- hence the reason such a boring show is still on the air. I may be in the minority, but surely I’m not the only one who thinks Bingo America’s game play is as fun as watching paint dry.

250 $10 winners per day, Chris? It sounds to me like they should change GSN’s slogan to “The Network For Cheapskates”. I know money’s in short supply right now, but come on- take a chance and raise the minimum winning amount to $100 per day (while lowering the Winner Wednesdays amount to $500 per week); it’s just common sense.
