Popular cable network BET is getting into the interactive game show business with their new late-night show “Taking the Cake”. Produced by Endemol, the show blends a game show and a talk show starting July 9th at 11PM ET and will air for the next few months. The show will allow viewers to play along online or on their cell phone by texting. “It’s a different way of approaching late-night,” BET president of entertainment Reginald Hudlin said. “The bulk of our development efforts have been devoted to primetime, but now it’s time to look at other dayparts.” Endemol collaborated for a similar late-night series with TBS last year. Midnight Money Madness received an eight-week trial that began in August; TBS declined to pick it up for additional episodes.

I don’t know about you, but, there are times I wish Endemol would end ‘em all!

I would find it funny if per se you said something creative that wasn’t stolen from David Howell…oh…months ago.
