BCI Is No More
Navarre, the parent company of BCI, decided to shut down its operations yesterday. This means that the “What’s My Line?” or “Tattletales” DVDs may not be made. We’ll keep you posted.

Good news for anime fans (FUNimation, another Navarre division, is alive and well), but bad news for game show fans. Sorry to hear of BCI’s demise.

Good thing I got a hold of them when I did. I had to get a replacement disc for Match Game 4-disc set.

I am sorry to hear that BCI is folding and the possiblility of the WHAT’S MY LINE and TATTLETALES DVD’s not getting released. My opinion is BCI was not a big enough home entertainment name for them to survive in this economy. In their short run, I only purchased THE BEST OF THE PRICE IS RIGHT DVD back in March when it came out and was hoping for a volume two DVD which now might not happen as well. However, there may be a possibility that Fremantle Media, who owns the Goodson-Todman Library, could launch their own home entertainment division and still do the WHAT’S MY LINE and TATTLETLES DVD’s themselves as well as the long delayed FAMILY FEUD DVD and continue distributions of the first volumes of THE BEST OF THE PRICE IS RIGHT, THE BEST OF MATCH GAME and THE BEST OF PASSWORD DVD sets and possibly do a second volume of those three DVD sets I mentioned above especially PRICE.
Which DVD company will acquire the rights to the Mark Goodson/ Bill Todman, non-Goodson & Reg Grundy library & which DVD company will make the best of Tattletales 4-DVD collection(32 episodes) & the best of What’s My Line? DVD collection?
Mill Creek Entertainment will release What’s My Line? & Tattletales DVDs instead of BCI.
If BCI doesn’t release them, Navarre has all the plans for The Best Of Tattletales 4-DVD Collection & The Best Of What’s My Line? – Volume 1.
BCI the Navarre company has shut down. Navarre is acquiring the Mark Goodson/Bill Todman library, non-Goodson shows & the Reg Grundy library(now FremantleMedia) so they can release game shows on DVDs.
When will Navarre release The Best Of Tattletales 4-DVD collection(32 Episodes) & The Best Of What’s My Line? – Volume 1?
BCI doesn’t make game show DVDs anymore because the navarre company shut down.
Is there any other DVD company which owns the rights to Fremantlemedia(Goodson/Todman, non-Goodson & Reg Grundy)?
There must be other DVD companies that has the rights to release more game show DVDs.

Sony has the rights to go through the Merv Griffin, Chuck Barris & Bob Stewart libraries & putting them on DVD.
Do you remember the Jeopardy! DVD that was released in 2005?
If Navarre can’t release the game show DVDs, then Sony will release them.
But, how do you know that Sony will come out with those?
Sony released the Jeopardy! DVD in 2005 & We will find out if they release more game shows on DVDs.

Sony is going over the Barry & Enright library(70′s only), Merv Griffin, Chuck Barris & Bob Stewart library & putting them on DVD.
