BuzzerVision: Wipeout Australia

Wipeout Australia is basically exactly like US Wipeout and Total Wipeout, just with Australians.  And if you don't know what Wipeout is, clearly, you've been living under a rock or something. Anyhow, I present to you two clips from what could be considered the best episode in Wipeout history (yes, for all three versions).  In the first clip, a double Sweeper arm can do some interesting things; in the second, an extraordinary finish to the Dizzy Dummy round. EDIT: Hey, these actually work now. Tonight: First Celebrity Jeopardy! of Season 26

Tonight is the first night of the Celebrity Jeopardy Invitational Tournament, with Wolf Blitzer (The Situation Room), Dana Delany (Desperate Housewives), and Andy Richter (The Tonight Show).  The Tonight Show shot a little bit of behind the scenes footage, which they showed last night.  Here's the clip in its entirety, including portions of the practice game.

Nickelodeon Premieres New Game Show This Month

So, I was randomly searching YouTube, and I found this. To me, it looks like a combination of Remote Control and The Cube.  It also looks more tailored to kids, but that's probably because it's a Nickelodeon show.  Here's a few example games. BrainSurge premieres Monday, September 28th at 4:30pm ET.

BuzzerVision: Pointless (Part 1)

Dirty Rotten Cheater meets The Fuse in a new BBC game show called Pointless.  In Pointless, five teams of two players try to figure out the least popular answers to surveys given to 100 people.  The more popular an answer is, the higher you score (Wrong answers score 100 points by default).  The team with the most points after each round is eliminated.  It's pointless to say any more, because we've got video. The British Are Better Than Us: The Cube (Part 2)

Here's part two of the new UK show "The Cube."  Am I the only one that finds "The Body" sexy? [stream flv=x:/www.flashgameshows.com/wordpress/videos/TheCube2.flv width=630 height=343 bandwidth=med /]

The British Are Better Than Us: The Cube (Part 1)

Here's video of the new British game show "The Cube."  You could basically call this a cross between "Beat the Clock" and an 80s video game, which kinda works. Contestants are given a seemingly simple task to do (demonstrated by "The Body") and they win money if they can successfully complete it.  However, if they fail, they lose a life (nine are given to start).  Use up all your lives, it's game over, no money.  And where there's a money chain, lifelines can't be too far behind.  Here, there are two: "Simplify," which obviously makes the game easier, but you don't know how, and "Trial Run," which basically gives you a free run at the task.  If you fail, you don't lose a life, and if you succeed, you don't win money (So, you'd have to co

The British Might Be Better Than Us: The Fuse (Part 1)

I'm helping out Alex a little bit by posting an episode of a "new" British game show called The Fuse. I say "new" because it's basically a morph of Weakest Link and Grand Slam, but with a fuse instead of a clock. You'll see what I mean. Fred Roggin Leaving GSN Live

Fred Roggin announced on GSN Live yesterday that he's leaving the show.  So The Money List is your only option to see him on the network for now. Here's his statement from the GSN boards: From the begining of GSN Live we invited you into our family and you invited us into yours. That's why I'm sharing this with you now. My time at GSN Live has come to an end. I've been in broadcasting a long time and nothing has been more enjoyable than the time I was honored to spend with you on a daily basis. I've learned that game show fans are perhaps the most passionate people. I've felt your passion. (luckily more good than bad). The network allowed me to pursue a dream and for that I am thankful. The dream continues and that was the plan from day o
