Aussie Weekend Replay: “Minute to Win It”
Like they say in previews, Minute to Win It has taken off all over the world…well in three other countries. Australian’s version of Minute to Win It is going pretty strong. Channel 7′s edition, hosted by Darren McMullen, is basically the same as Americans except it’s not as psychotic and there is a milestone level at $2,500 unlike the $1,000 level in America. It hasn’t been on long but they’ve already had a contestant try for $500,000. The game contestant Grant Nelson has to play is “Double Trouble”, where he must bounce two ping-pong balls off a table, using one hand, and they have to land in two separate cups. It’s very hard and he’s on his final life. Can he do it? Check out the video.

Do you know if the Aussie’s have to play the nigh impossible Super Coin for their Million Dollar Game?
It is listed as its Million Dollar Game. Are there others? Probably not. As for impossible, a guy on last week’s episode, here in the U.S., came VERY CLOSE to sinking a quarter in by hitting the mouth of the jug.
Wikipedia says that Supercoin is indeed the Australian version’s $1mil game.
Ah, Double Trouble. How I hate you so very much. TT_TTT
What do you mean by saying the Aussie production is not as “psychotic” as the American one? Dig that audience! They are every bit as “into it” as any Yank crowd.
I, a Yank, LOVE Minute to Win It! I’ve never seen the Aussie version, but I’ll try checking it now! I liked the clip.
And if any of you are in the States any time soon, M2WI’s on twice a week now! Tuesdays and Wednesdays, woo!
