Audience Needed for “Trivial Pursuit”

Hey, this is good news!  The new syndicated game show Trivial Pursuit: America Plays is getting an actual audience!  Hooray, there’s one step in the right direction for the show so far.  Tapings will start on August 18th, so be on the lookout at OCA soon by clicking here.  Apparently there’s some more incentive to go to tapings as well.  If you are in the audience, you get the chance to record questions to be part of America’s team, and you can potentially be America’s team captain for the day, which puts you in the spotlight more than the others.  Plus, I’m sure the option of winning a couple hundred dollars, potentially over a thousand, for not even being a contestant is a pretty good deal.

Having an audience is my “thing” as far as game shows go.  Any show I’ve seen without an audience just does not have the same energy and excitement as one that does.  It’s hard to get people extremely excited and animated when all they are in front of is a camera crew.  Having other people there makes it more interesting.  Plus a live audience just sounds better than a canned one.

That is good news. Trivial Pursuit has an audience. That’s something Crosswords or Temptation didn’t have (although the latter isn’t proven). Like Alex, I like the studio audience as well. Just seeing them get excited over a win usually get me to watch.

A game show just isn’t the same without an audience. Good news, indeed!

I was offered and accepted an early tape date for Trivial Pursuit: America Plays. I will let y’all know what it’s like: rules, gameplay, average prize winnings for the winner, etc.
