Apply for BuzzerBlog’s Podcast Game Show “Double Cross”!
I’m always looking to do a podcast since I love this new technology stuff. However I just get really bored with the generic “talk about game shows” sort of thing. Our friends at the sister-site Game Show NewsNet do it far better than I ever can with We Love To Interrupt. I’ve been looking to do something new, and I think we have it. We come to you with Double Cross: Presented by QuizQuizQuiz, the first game show ever done in podcast format.
If you’re over 18 and from any English speaking country, you can play. It’s a different kind of quiz show. It doesn’t just involve your knowledge. If you can convince people that a wrong answer is actually correct, you may end up winning the game. We’re giving away cash and prizes to winners. It’s comparable to the prizes on GSN Radio. It’s a once-a-week show that we’ll do over Skype (or some phone if absolutely necessary), so it takes no time out of your day.
I’m extremely appreciative of the sponsors QuizQuizQuiz, a great UK based quiz company making all of this possible. They are some of the best in the business. Some of them competed in the first series of one of our favorites, Only Connect, so you know this is coming from great people. They’ve got an iPhone app that I’ve been loving for a while, and I hope you can check it out. Support our sponsor so we can continue to bring this to you.
If you think you have what it takes to play, feel free to enter below. It costs nothing to play and we’ll work with everyone’s schedule. And again, winners get some cash and prizes so we’re making this a competitive show. I hope you’ll enter, and we can’t wait to showcase this new project come April. We’re still doing the news, I just wanted to add a new element and I really hope you enjoy it.

CURSE YOU AGE LIMIT! CUUUUUUUUUUURSE YOUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!
Agreed.
Let me see what goes on. I'll consider 17 years old, if that fits any of you. Any less than that and it's just getting a bit risky.

When do the emails start going out for potential contestants?
It'll be closer towards the end of the month. I've got enough for like 4 or 5 seasons of the length I'm doing now, but I want a larger pool to judge interest, see what people think, and make it more competitive.
Skype does get first preference because of call clarity but they won't be completely guaranteed. Having a good story also helps a lot, so we have something to talk about. And then I look at what people say about their smarts or ability to bluff others. It looks like we've got some interesting people in.
