We have loads of pictures from NBC’s revived series of American Gladiators debuting January 6th. The old events are basically the same only made more extreme, like The Wall and Joust being over water. Look for an amazing new tweak to Assault which will see the Gladiator sent sky high if he or she loses. All of this is really making me anticipate the new series. Plus Helga scares the living crap out of me, and I’ve played hockey for around 20 years.

I have been anticipating the debut of this show for awhile, but these event photos make me want it NOW! :P
Honestly after seeing the new ad on tv and seeing these pictures I am really hoping for the best with it. As much as I hate Hogan I can let that idiot slide so it doesn’t ruin the show for me. Helga scares the crap out of me do I wouldn’t want to see that when I wake up in the morning thats for sure. Most of all I can’t wait to see my favorite event Powerball again. :)
I wasn’t sure if Assault was on the new AG games list, but now that I’ve read it is, I say BRING IT ON!
Those photos are sweet! The Wall looks incredibly cool, Powerball looks like a game I want to play (and I’m not the athletic type), and that last game looks like a rush (though I think it’s new). If they have Atlasphere (which I thought they did, IIRC), I can’t wait to see how they’ll make that look also. I’m jumping out of my skin for January to get here!! :D
One of the tabloids claimed, the grand prize for both male and female contender is $100,000 cash and a new car (up to $50k.)
Oh oh. I have been reading a lot about the new american gladiators. It looks like it will be awesome.
The last event pictured is a new one, its called Earthquake. And, I’m not being snippy but they are calling her Hellga now. I think Hulk thought that was a cool spelling and that is what they went with.
Nice. REAL NICE! AG is going to be real good. This may be one revival we can get in to. My only concern is how Hulk and Ali will be on the commentary.
