Kittie Carlisle Hart, who had a long career in movies, broadway, opera, and television, has passed at the age of 96. Her son, Christopher Hart, said she passed away peacefully on Tuesday night at her Manhattan apartment. For our group, she was most known as a celebrity panelist on “To Tell The Truth” from 1956 to 1967 as well as various other runs of the show. Kittie Carlisle Hart starred in movies such as “A Night at the Opera”, “She Loves Me Not”, “Here is my Heart”, “Radio Days”, and “Six Degrees of Separation”.

R.I.P. Kitty. Didn’t know a thing about her, but she seemed to display nothing but class and grace on TTTT.

Even though I assume her prime was before many of our (us on this blog) times, I’m sure some of us did our research on her. She was quite a class act through and through. I even wondered how she would do on game show today if that were possible.

This is a sad day for game shows. :(
Kitty was a figurehead in game shows, and, IIRC, one of the few members of the GS 6-decade club. She will truly be missed, and her contributions to the GS genre will not be forgotten.
