BuzzerBlog was founded in April 2005 by Cory Anotado of PacdudeGames and Michael Stanton under the name Buzzer! The Game Show Blog. Today, former site writer Alex Davis has taken ownership of the site and maintains title of head writer and editor. Other writers such as Nick Todor, Mike Klauss, and Paul Ford have helped the site become one of the most popular game show websites around the world. The writings on the blog have been published in the New York Times, USA Today, and Entertainment Weekly as well as various online television news aggregations.
BuzzerBlog works hand-in-hand with production companies and networks such as GSN, 88SLIDE, NBC, Embassy Row, Program Partners, Merv Griffin, ABC, CBS, and many more. BuzzerBlog created a game show development company called BuzzSaw TV in 2008 which has several projects in development.
