ABC Orders “Shaq Vs.”
ABC has ordered the new series Shaq Vs. from Dick Clark Productions and Media Rights Capital. The show sees basketball legend Shaquille O’Neal playing against a different sports figure in their native game. It ranges from playing football against Ben Roethlisberger to tennis against Serena Williams. The show debuts August 18th at 9:00PM ET. ABC’s been getting some really entertaining unscripted programming recently. This looks like another fun one.
Didn't the Travel Channel already do something similar to this?
I believe it was called "Dhani Tackles The Globe". It involved Cincinnati Bengals LB Dhani Jones playing different sports from all over the world. That was one of the Travel Channel's better shows.
Still, it'll be worth it just to see Shaq try to play tennis against Serena Williams.
Just as long as he doesn't get injured during the taping, since I'm a Cleveland Cavaliers fan, I'm OK with this. Sort of.
Hell he can't even play basketball. How is he going to play any other sport?
I've seen his commercials for Comcast being tied up with Ben Stein. He'll do anything. Why, I'd like to see him beat Tiger Woods in golf or Lance Armstrong in cycling.
Hopfully his show will be better than T.O.'s reality show.
Odds are good a WWE match will be involved. Shaq will be hosting RAW on the 27th.
The premise reminds me of "Pro-fan" from the late '70s.
Hmmm, makes me wonder if Shaq would be willing to try hockey out, going against somebody like Sidney Crosby of the Stanley Cup champion Pittsburgh Penguins.
One of his challenges is a Home Run derby against St Louis Cardinals top hitter, Albert Pujols.

OK, my friend. I saw promos during one of Millionaire's episodes this week. They start Tuesday with Shaq going mono-a-mono with Pittsburgh Steelers QB Brett Rofflesburger(sp?). Wonder if they'll do the "Hail Mary Challenge"?
I really liked it. Fun show.
I saw it last night. It was actually pretty enjoyable…or maybe I'm just ready for it to be football season! ;-)
Seriously, it was pretty good. I'd watch again.
I enjoyed it a lot, too. Thought it was a fun show. Started with a really entertaining episode at least.
