Well it took people long enough, but other news sources like Variety have finally picked up on CBS’s new game show pilot from Michael Davies called “The Power of 10″. We already announced it was from CBS and for $10,000,000 previously. We have a small glimpse into the game play now, though. You have to guess the outcome of various national surveys, and once you do that, you move into the Power of 10 round where each correct answer is worth 10 times what you currently have, giving you a possible $10,000,000.

…can we have the ‘I CALLED IT’ sign out please? That *is* the pre-DoND Miljoenenjacht endgame - see here.

sounds a little like Family Feud to me. But on the bright side I think even people might be willing to risk $1 million for $10 million.

I knew it was only a matter of time before GS jackpots would hit the 7 figure mark (again).
This does look like a semi-ripoff of FF, just with the big money attached. My only concern is that, with this new show coming aboard, are people going to watch it, possibly get hooked on a format they’ve seen *somewhere* before, then turn to Feud one day and say “WTF, this is boring, back to 10!”? :o
The concept is fine, but I don’t want to see it be successful at the price of killing FF… :(

Uh Wheelloon, you mean the “8″ figure mark.
The previous one being with “Super Millionaire.”
Anyway, I hope this show succeeds, sounds like another smart combo of knowledge, intuition, and some luck.

This show (based on the rules and pictures) is cool. Like the TPIR, but with questions. The uses of tempations creates lock-in wins for the players, which you don’t see too much on primetime shows. Who would make a good host for this?

Wouldn’t that be an interesting piece of “irony?”

I got a call back from “Chain Reaction” for my teammates to play in the Pilot episode, that will be taped on Thursday April 5. Sadly, we can’t attend because we were told TODAY!! Maybe if it were a week or two earlier, we could’ve. And I sooooo wanted to see who the host was!!!
