I'm helping out Alex a little bit by posting an episode of a "new" British game show called The Fuse. I say "new" because it's basically a morph of Weakest Link and Grand Slam, but with a fuse instead of a clock. You'll see what I mean. There are so many new British clips and games I want to show you all that it'll take weeks/months before I finish things from just this week alone, so I'm going to shove as much as I humanly can in the course of a weekend. First I want to show off series two of BBC 4's Only Connect which I believe is the smartest television show on the planet and is at least to me the best game show airing anywhere right now. It had a pretty decent following around here so I definitely want to show you the new season. Take a look at the awesome Victoria Coren and the show where you have to link four seemingly distant items. How'd you do against the contestants? I haven't heard anything ratings-wise from GSN's Big Saturday Night since the debut, but given the updates to the BSN format, the fact that it's revamping in a few weeks, and now this schedule change, I assume it's not doing all that well. Starting this week, July 18th, 20Q and The Money List will be flipping spots on the schedule. This means The Money List will be featured at 8:00PM ET and 20Q at 9:30PM ET. All the weekday repeats are gone now as well.. Every weekday at midnight will resume to be the Regis Philbin edition of Who Wants to be a Millionaire and weekdays from 8:00PM ET to 10:00PM ET will yet again be Richard Karn's Family Feud, Meredith Vieira's Millionaire, John O'Hurley's Feud, and another Vieira Millionaire. So needl

Did you pass the Who Wants to be a Millionaire phone or computer game competition? I'd start checking your phones starting today. The show is now in the process of calling all of you who passed the quiz and are going to New York City to compete for $1,000,000. If you passed, you selected one of six tape dates. People are randomly selected from each specific tape date group and called. If you get a call from the show, you're going to be playing the Fastest Finger competition and potentially sitting in the Hot Seat. Here's a list of the potential tape dates and times, and when you should be expecting your call. We've got a good "rumor" for all fans of GSN's revival of The Newlywed Game, and I'd place money on it. Sources are telling me that the show has been renewed for a second season. That's not a big surprise as the show had one of GSN's biggest debut weeks in the history of the rebranding from Game Show Network to GSN. Not only that but the show's been near the top of the ratings chart each week so it's been popular overall. The surprising part is that apparently the show will move from its season one base of New York City to its new home of Los Angeles for the next one. It's a bit surprising seeing as Michael Davies and his production company Embassy Row, who do Newlywed Game, do all of their shows out of New York. I'm hearing word that

It's my favorite time of year on this site. The boring summer where I barely have anything fun to offer is almost up and it's time for all your favorite game shows to come back for a new season of tapings. The casting is basically over but you can still be in the audience, which is a lot of fun. Many shows are leaving Los Angeles to go across the coast so if you're near the New York City area, there's lots of chances for you to get in the action. Not only that but we get lots of emails asking us about their favorite shows. Here's a list of the big game shows last year and if they are returning or not. Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader?: If you're looking for the primetime million dollar version, I wouldn't count on it. It's basic

Sorry for the delay in this. It's an incredibly busy week. But I had to share this with you. MTV sent us some clips giving you a preview of what to expect in this week's Silent Library, weekdays at 5:30PM ET on MTV. Again, it's a pretty funny show if you take a look. I'm a fan of stupid-funny stuff, and it does what I expect it to. It's made by the guy who did their old show Boiling Points, too, so they get extra credit for that. Here you go.

I've got a really delayed clip here. It's of the new UK game show The Chase which I believe just ended its short ten episode run and waiting to hear if it comes back or not. The game is basically what the title says, a chase between a contestant and a trivia buff of some sort. If the contestant can beat the Chaser, he or she wins the money. If the Chaser catches the contestant, no money is awarded. It's an interested incredibly fast paced show. It's not without its issues but I like a show that manages to keep a tense, exciting atmosphere and still have the huge amount of questions it asks. Take a look. Our friends at Hollywood Junket were on the set for the pilot of Let's Make A Deal. It looks to be pretty good. The show, from Fremantle (same people who do Family Feud and The Price is Right) is hosted by Wayne Brady. I don't think Wayne's the absolute best choice but it's hard to argue that he's popular and apparently a good host. Plus this show brings him more back to his "interacting with the audience roots" which he does excel at. Amusingly the executive producer of the show is Mike Richards, who is the executive producer for The Price is Right as well. I'm a bit stunned they aren't being taped on the same set and just redressing the doors for each show, but there we are. The game is the same as everyone knows, if you remember

Two great pieces of GSN news for you today. First off, people have been clamoring for GSN to add some full episodes of their shows to somewhere. They are finally starting to do that. GSN now has a channel on Comcast's Fancast. They have lots of clips that, frankly, I've never seen before for shows like Catch 21 plus a lot of interviews from when GSN Live used to interview classic game show personalities. In the full episode department, bizarrely they only have one full episode of Lingo. In addition, every aired episode of The Money List is now on the site. So if you've missed any of that fantastic show hosted by Fred Roggin, there's no excuse not to catch up. Check it out and watch some shows there because hopefully GSN will expand

I know some people get sick of constant imports of foreign formats, but if a show has a proven track record elsewhere around the world, it's a good insurance policy for a run here. It's why TV Land is shooting what looks to be a pilot for a new British import called Celebrity Mr. and Mrs.. Over there it's All Star Mr. and Mrs. and from the looks of The Wikipedia, it looks to be pretty popular. I'm sure someone from England can fill in the details. I'm trying to find some actual rules to the show, but it's scattered about. Celebrity Mr. and Mrs. seems to be a fairly typical dating-style show, however. UKGameshows (which if you're a game show fan you should know about already) says that in the original version couples are asked questi
