Exclusive: GSN’s New Logo
Let's take wagers on how long before we're asked to take this down. Until then, enjoy it while you can. Attached to a screener copy I was sent was GSN's new logo with the new slogan. You can see it below. Enjoy. It was taken from my cell phone. Sorry, my scanner isn't

Last one on our small marathon here. It takes a lot to make me double take about how crappy a show is. But I think we have a winner. Introducing our final show, Bid4Prizes. The female hosts who are showing as much cleavage as they can to bring in the young male viewers (all the frat guys love shopping game shows!) explain that you see a prize and you text them or enter online a bid for the prize. The lowest unique bid wins. So if we both bid 1 cent, 1 cent is canceled out and the next lowest bid wins. The winner doesn't have to pay the bid either. So....you might as well just have them randomly pick numbers then. Why not. Behold the show if you dare. I think I know what the lowest bid would have always been. 1 cent, because of

Mark Walberg occasionally comes over here and reads. Mark, if you see this somehow, please get ahold of Mark DeCarlo and make fun of him relentlessly for this pilot he "hosted". It's called Smartass. A giant talking cartoon donkey co-hosted and asked questions in a format I'm not completely sure about. It's only like a minute long clip. But still,

I've wanted to post this one for a while and finally found a way how. I'm a big music fan. Back in the day before the whole pop explosion with Britney Spears and people like that, MTV was actually semi-tolerable. I think it's best to forget about the network now. So when I hear MTV is going to do another game show, my expectations are already unbelievably low. I didn't think they could make something which went below that, and they did. "Enjoy" Idiot Quest. It's so bad it's

MAJOR EDIT: We just got a tip from an anonymous source that GSN has indeed picked up The Newlywed Game for 40 episodes. The Dating Game was not picked up. We're waiting for official confirmation A few months ago it was announced that GSN would shoot pilots for both The Newlywed Game and The Dating Game revivals. Both would be done through Embassy Row, one of the few great game show production companies left, who did other GSN shows like Grand Slam (hooray!) and Chain Reaction (they can't all be winners). Judging by the pretty decent amount of casting notices going around for The Newlywed Game, it looks like it got picked up. The pilot was hosted by comic Judy Gold. Nothing about The Dating Game yet. Here's where it gets

I was involved in a conference call with Mr. Chuck Woolery, host of Lingo and GSN's new game show Think Like A Cat, AKA Freaking Million Dollar Cat Game Show. I did ask a bit about Think Like A Cat but I know there were a few questions people wanted to know first about his other projects. So before the interview is published, here's two pieces of information. *Yes, Lingo is canceled. Chuck confirmed its cancelation. He was sure to make fun of GSN about it, actually. He commented about how funny it was that Lingo is GSN's highest rated game show and they got rid of it. We all had a laugh about that. However, he said it's the second time it's been canceled. It was first canceled after season five. However, they un-canceled it

Happy Halloween everybody. We're going to try to have a spooky marathon of clips for you today! It's all shows that were so crappy that the pilots never sold! Scary! Ahh!!! Or they just might be pilots that didn't sell for some weird reason. Regardless, unsold pilots. It's also scary how we stole this idea from Game Show Network from a while back! Terrifying! We'll start with one show that's a glutton for punishment around the game show community. It's Malcom hosted by the porn director moustache sporting Alex

Yes, another $1,000,000 was given away on Deal or No Deal last night. With nine $1,000,000 cases on the board because of the Million Dollar Mission, Tomorrow Rodriguez won the top prize and the long national nightmare of the Million Dollar Mission is over.. It was a bit entertaining because she did it by removing all cases but three $1,000,000 cases and we've seen it not be won with 13 $1,000,000 cases. But still, a severely stacked board. Be happy, though. Million Dollar Mission is over; I promise. We now have a regular game coming up, along with Speed Deal (20 seconds to decide) and $2,000,000 games in November. No more mission as far as I can see so far, I promise. Here's the win. It takes watching a primetime episode to

Lots of GSN updates are coming. It's basically good ol' Game Show Network again with the exception of the ever popular poker shows and Freaking Million Dollar Cat Game Show. The whole GSN branding really didn't work out. With it basically abandoned, it's time for a slight update. GSN has selected Molecular to help their redesign. The updated site and logo will also come with the new positioning of ‘putting winning within reach’ and new tagline ‘everybody plays’. Can't wait to see what they come up

Lots of upcoming news for GSN's daily afternoon talk/game show GSN Live. First off, some special guests will be appearing tomorrow. If you're a Wheel of Fortune fan, you won't want to miss the 12PM E to 3PM E edition hosted by Heidi Bohay and Alfonso Ribeiro. Vanna White will be stopping by the show at 1PM E. After that, during the 3PM E to 6PM E edition hosted by Fred Roggin and Kelly Packard, rapper Coolio will visit. I don't quite get why he'll be there but why not; he's entertaining enough. GSN Live's main event comes Friday. Ken Jennings and his new segment Stump the Master starts at 5PM E. Submit your questions to GSN Live from their website. If your question is selected and stumps Ken, you win $1,000 plus a prize. In

I really wish Family Feud would put out press releases or have some sort of public relations person like every other show on television. It would be a lot easier to show you fun stuff like their special Halloween week this week. Be sure to watch Feud for their regular Halloween festivities. They really go all out and decorate the set really nice. Plus, of course, host John O'Hurley gets in the spirit also. Check out a clip here from Feud's official YouTube

Is anyone else having one of those days or two where you have time to do absolutely nothing but run around everywhere and have no time for yourself? That's been Monday and Tuesday for me; sorry for the delay in writing. But there is some fun news for Wheel of Fortune fans at least. They will be airing their special Hawaii episodes in November during sweeps. 20 episodes will from Hawaii will be shown starting November 5th. November 5th through the 7th and the 10th and 11th will all feature residents from Hawaii. It's being staggered because of election day. November 12th through the 14th and the 17th and 18th is a special "Best Friends Week". November 19th through the 21st and the 24th and 25th will again be episodes with

There might be some actually useful people coming up as Experts on Who Wants to be a Millionaire? soon! A lot better than Entertainment Weekly writers at least. Helping the contestant as part of Ask the Expert, sponsored by Skype, will be Robin Meade (from Headline news) from October 27th through the 29th, Bill Nye the Science Guy on October 30th and 31st, and the one and only Ken Jennings from November 3rd to November

In continuing our weekend replay, we have a special treat. In our inbox this morning was an email from our friend Travis P. who found some clips of the hit UK game show Who Dares Wins. Who Dares Wins is a revival of the The Rich List. And, if you remember, GSN picked up a revival of the show under the title The Money List. The new version is a direct port of the British edition. The only change is the title. Money is exactly the same. Well, host is different too; ours is hosted by GSN Live host Fred Roggin. Check it out. I'm really excited for the new show; I always thought The Rich List was good but in the wrong place at the wrong time. If you want to see more, check out the related
