And we’re up to number seven with, yet again, an Irish Drinking Song moment from Colin Mochrie. Although it really started because Drew screwed up early in the song. Definitely in my top two or three favorite Irish Drinking songs.

GSN Plans Paul Newman Tribute

I’m sure you’ve probably heard, but if you haven’t, the great actor Paul Newman passed away this weekend.  In respect, GSN is planning a special tribute which will make fans of Mr. Newman and classic game show fans equally happy.  On Saturday, October 4th, GSN will be bringing black and white classics to the daytime [...]

GSN Paul Newman Tribute

GSN will be airing two episodes of “What’s My Line?” in tribute to the recently departed Paul Newman.  The first will feature Newman as the mystery guest, while the second will feature him and his then wife, Joanne Woodward, as the mystery guests.  Both episodes originally aired in 1959.

Well we may have missed the first day, but you’ll catch is the rest of this week.  Next week sees the season debut of Bingo America featuring new hosts, a new better end game, and more audience participation than ever before.  To promote it a bit more and get people excited, GSN Live will be [...]

Continuing on our discussion that Colin Mochrie seems to have a good number of Whose Line is it Anyway’s top 13 moments, here’s number eight on our list.  Colin’s known for not being a good singer or dancer on the show.  He just acts insane and creates comedy gold.  However, when he actually showed that [...]

Crowning glory for this week’s Weekend Replay comes from the daytime edition of Deal or No Deal.  It’s incredibly refreshing to find that NBC and Endemol finally got how to do the show.  Daytime Deal is exponentially better than primetime Deal.  I don’t think I can think of a single thing the NBC version does better.  Well, more models, but that’s beside the point.  It was Baby on Board [...]

When the voters and I were making this countdown, we realized a lot of the moments involved Colin Mochrie.  He just was amazing at thinking of something which made absolutely no sense at all, throwing everyone off, and bending the show to his style.  And the game which let him do this more than any was Irish Drinking Song.  Enjoy number nine, which is an [...]

FOX’s Hole in the Wall has been a relative failure.  What a surprise!  In an order to get some interest in the show, FOX has bumped ahead what will be very liberally called celebrity episodes.  It’s as vague of a celebrity show as you can get.  Coming up next week will be the personally dubbed “Skanks of VH1 Edition of [...]

And here comes number 10.  When Whose Line is it Anyway first started they basically cut out anything that wasn’t directly game and show related.  However, as the show went on they were a lot looser with it and left in a lot of bloopers.  It’s this practice which brings our next moment.  Again, it’s audience related.  In a game of Title [...]

So my car completely broke down yesterday.  I spent basically all day yesterday either swearing on the side of the street or trying to get my car fixed.  It’s why there was no news yesterday.  But I did get a press release from GSN in my inbox last night that would have gone up.  It’s a reminder that the channel’s poker programming, High [...]

Sorry we didn’t get one of these out yesterday.  I had major car problems so I couldn’t get to my office to write.  Coming in at number 11 is a game which basically became Colin Mochrie’s: Newsflash.  Basically, Colin would stand in front of a green screen, not knowing what video is playing behind him, and two others acting [...]

Continuing our clip-down of the best Whose Line is it Anyway? moments, we move to number 12.  If you’re a regular viewer, you may notice the sarcasm that comes from host Drew Carey’s voice when he says it’s time for, “Everyone’s favorite game, Hoedown!”  Ryan Stiles probably hates the game more than anyone else and [...]

“Trivial Pursuit” Day One Ratings

The ratings for the first episode of Trivial Pursuit: America Plays came in, and it’s middling so far.  The first showing got a 0.7/2, which is right with its lead in.  It’s right around the same level as Crosswords last year also, which was renewed but got canned at the last second because of lack [...]

Two stories for the price of one.  We’re going crazy.  Seriously, we are; I got four hours of sleep last night because of various things.  First off, with the extension of GSN Live to the 3PM ET to 6PM ET, new guests are needed.  First up is Trivial Pursuit: America Plays host Christopher Knight.  He’ll [...]

For the next two weeks we’re going to have a daily video clip-down of our favorite Whose Line is it Anyway? moments.  Is it a game show?  Barely.  Maybe one percent.  But that’s good enough for me.  Especially because it’s one of the funniest and most creative shows to come out in a while.  Not [...]
