Review of GSN’s “Catch 21″

GSN needs a hit.  Badly.  How Much is Enough?, which I still feel bad about giving a remotely positive review about after just one episode, bombed.  Bingo America is fine enough but obviously cares much more about the bingo players at home than the actual game, and that hurts the final product.  Catch 21 has a long history with GSN.  Pitched years [...]

“Price is Right” Gag Reel

Over on Price is Right’s official site, they uploaded a video montage of their favorite funny and memorable moments from the amazing 36th season.  Check it out.

“1 VS 100″ Goes to X Box

Going on this week is the video game nerd’s wet dream, E3, which is a huge video game expo where companies show off their new products and make major announcements.  One of them that we were told about was Xbox Live Primetime, where you can play big online game shows against people in real time.  One of which is NBC’s middle child [...]

Here’s our video of the weekend: England’s revival of Gladiators.  It looks exactly like our season one, just a bit smaller, and that was a bit disappointing.  Equally as disappointing as our season one was, actually.  Here is their Eliminator which left a lot to be desired.  No [...]

Well FOX may have found a way to actually make me want to watch their new game show Hole in the Wall.  Brooke Burns (model, actress, host of Dog Eat Dog, unbelievably hot) will be hosting the new “fit your body through a moving hole in the wall” show along with personality Mark Thompson.

BuzzerBlog Interviews Alfonso Ribeiro

Coming on July 21st is GSN’s new series Catch 21, based off their hit online game and the classic casino card game 21.  I was fortunate enough to interview the host of the new series Alfonso Ribeiro.  In the interview, he discusses how he prepared for the show and his hosting style as well as his love for golf, his daughter, and [...]

This looks like a clip from the upcoming preview special, but hey, I’ll take it.
Also, at the end is one of the new GSN ad campaigns.

If you missed the game show blooper show Game Show Moments Gone Bananas, hosted by Ben Stein, one of the ten million times it aired on VH1, you’re in good luck.  BCI, who has Match Game, Family Feud, and Price is Right on DVD, is bringing the clip show to your home on September 23rd.  The DVD runs for 225 minutes and will [...]

We’ve already went through several reports of Deal or No Deal scrapping episodes that NBC and Endemol do not deem exciting or fun enough to put on the air.  If you’re a fan of their persistence in not showing what the game is really like, you’ll be happy (?) for this report from our friends at HollywoodJunket.  Syndicated Deal or No Deal will be [...]

Upcoming Interviews

We have a few interviews coming up for you later this week.  On Wednesday we’ll have a conversation with Alfonso Ribeiro of GSN’s new original Catch 21.  On Thursday or Friday at the absolute latest, you’ll be hearing from Wheel of Fortune executive producer Harry Friedman, where he will tell us about his career and more about this new season, including [...]

We were sent a pretty cool clip of Price is Right from the Fourth of July. Check it out.

And while we’re here let’s clear some things up over the apparent massive hysteria of the Fourth of July weekend. What we know will happen is the show will be in HD next season, a [...]

Ever get one of those emails where you say “Are you kidding me?  I’m hoping this is a dream.”  I did once GSN sent out the advanced schedules for the next few weeks.  Russian Roulette is sadly gone except for weekends at 4:00PM ET.  Replacing it starting July 21st at 6:00PM ET daily is Pyramid.  Not the good Dick Clark kind.  It’s the [...]

GSN’s started its summer season off with a bang with the new campaign to “Catch a Game”.  During the summer the network will be showing off its cool beach like image while getting the word out about their new show: Catch 21.  We’ve covered the show quite a bit so far, and if you’ve followed us you know the basic information.  Catch 21, hosted [...]
