Wow, are there a lot of changes going in 2008 to game shows or what? Right now we have two new shows coming into syndication, at least two being prepared for next season’s syndicated track, GSN has two revivals coming out as well Catch 21 just starting and a cat game show later in the year, networks are gearing up their new game shows, [...]
I don’t know how many people read all the comments, but one reader, Travis, recently went to a taping of FOX’s big money Youtube video Hole in the Wall and posted about the game play. Yes, it is indeed everything I expected. Below is what he had to say.
Here’s how game play goes. Two teams of three people (guys v. girls, [...]

I think we have a motto for the Fall 2008 game show season: Remain Cautiously Optimistic. I got back from vacation late last night and realized I completely forgot to put my out of office message on my inbox. I received a lot of messages, and in there was one from Michael Davies, who executive produces Who Wants to be [...]
Catch 21 debuted on Monday, July 21st, on GSN, and so far it seems to be a positive start. However, I’m really curious to see what you thought of it. Be sure to leave your comments. It’s a very fun show that could just use to loosen up a bit more. It’s too stiff and rigid right now. Amusingly, as I’m looking around [...]

Back in December we reported Mark L. Walberg was set to host Trivial Pursuit: America Plays. While true at the time, it looks like his contract with Fox may have gotten in the way of hosting this syndicated show coming September 22nd. There is a new name floating around. The Brady Bunch’s Christopher Knight (Peter [...]
And here it is, the final part of our Wipeout weekend, courtesy of ABC.
Only two more sections to go. Here’s the next piece of ABC’s hit game Wipeout.
Here’s a few more segments of my favorite new show, ABC’s hysterical Wipeout.
Season Seven of World Poker Tour is going to Fox Sports Network, or as known these days FSN. Season Six had aired on GSN, but as we reported, they lost the rights to the show. Long-time announcers Mike Sexton and Vince Van Patton will return to the show. Season VII shouldn’t begin for awhile due [...]
Tonight at 10:00PM ET sees the return of Gong Show on Comedy Central. It’s hosted by Dave Attell, and you will see judges Brian Posehn, triumph the Insult Comic Dog, and Steve Schrippa and in the future will be Adam Carolla, Kate Walsh, Andy Dick, Ron White, Dave Navaro, Greg Giraldo, Jim Norton and JB Smoove. From the previews it looks to be a [...]
Again, I’m gone until Monday and I really don’t know when and if new updates will come in, it depends if the other writers have stuff. It not, we’ll be posting portions of my favorite new show of the summer and, quite frankly, my favorite in years, ABC’s Wipeout. It’s extremely funny and miles better than Celebrity Family [...]
Yes, I know the featured story player hasn’t been updated in a bit. I don’t have the current set up for it, the person that created the current version does, so there’s not a ton I can do until he updates. However, if it’s not done by the time I get back, I promise it’ll be updated very early next week.
Like I said, I’ll be gone for a few days, so in case there isn’t really any news, I’m going to post a few videos of ABC’s Wipeout for you to enjoy. Here’s a small preview of one of my favorite moments of the year.
Hey everyone, I’m going out of town until Monday, so I won’t be updating for a bit except for some automatic posts. Hopefully some of the other writers will. I know I promised a Harry Friedman interview and I do have it, I’m just experiencing some difficulties with my audio recording software.
Casting producers from Million Dollar Password asked us to post this notice about a casting novice for Chicago. If you’re in the area, why not try out? And we can confirm that the show will be moving to LA next season.
