Jason Huhn: Please Read
Jason Huhn, I still can't give you the $50 from the survey contest because your email address keeps rejecting mine. The message I keep receiving is "Client host [XXX.XXX.XX.XXX] blocked using blackholes.excite.com; Sender address rejected. I can't get the money to you unless you change your email address, or at least I can email you. You need to give me another email address that I can get ahold of you with so I can send it to you. I've been trying for the past 3 months.

Tonight NBC is begging to give away the million dollars with a 13-$1,000,000 case game of Deal or No Deal. I'd just like to note one thing. Executive Producer Scott St. John has said that they will only go to 13 cases with $1,000,000; and this is true. However, this does not necessarily mean they will stop the mission. After that, NBC's new stunt show My Dad is Better Than Your Dad debuts. Post your thoughts about the show here.

This might be just me (many stuff is), but I've found myself caring less and less about 1 VS 100 this season and basically because of all the changes they have made. The thing is that they aren't necessarily horribly bad changes. It's just a good deal of slightly crappy changes which have brought the show down. The whole money chain thing definitely had gotten people to play on for a longer period of time, that's for sure. I'm starting to think too much, though. The first few times someone got far into the game, near the $250,000 level, it was exciting. However it's becoming a bit disappointing when you don't win at least $250,000 now. Especially when you have a $250,000 and a $500,000 winner in a show, it's telling me something'

Scanning through Craigslist and various other places, I've found some new game shows coming out, some of which might be decent. Of course with that some of them are going to be really bad and potentially end in law suits! Isn't that fun? Let's go over some. First off, by the way, Million Dollar Password is still casting. I can guarantee you they had people there who know how to play the game. I auditioned for it and I can tell you first hand that a ton of people are extremely good and would be fine on the show. They just haven't found the janitors they want. I'm not lying when I say that. They specifically told us they want people like janitors, so America can cheer for them. Next we have a new mystery show for NBC! Oooh! It

If you haven't read, there's been yet another university shooting. A man killed (currently) five people and then himself at Northern Illinois University. I know we have a few readers from that area, one of which goes to Northern Illinois and thankfully emailed me to say he's fine. Our wishes to go everyone involved.

I'm sure that if you visit here, you also visit or have visted Steve Beverly's TVGameshows.net. Recently the university where he teaches, Union University, was hit by a tornado and ravaged. The game show community is a relatively small but close one, so we'd be almost rude not to mention how you can help out. Steve provided us with an address at our request if you'd like to donate money to help the university get back to what it was once. Be sure to check out his blog about the restoration as well. The address is after the break. (more...)

There's been a YouTube clip that's become a sensation somehow, and it's from a Japanese game show called Hole in the Wall. Basically, it's human Tetris. People have to fit through tiny holes in walls in various shapes as they move towards them. If they miss, they are tossed back into a pool of water. It's humorous enough, but one thing I was always happy with was my thought of "At least this show's so one-sided that it can't possibly be picked up as its own show in America." And as usual FOX does the impossible and makes me hide in the corner and shiver with fear out of their decisions. C

I'm at least happy about the news that the writer's strike is basically over at this point. I have to be honest, I've been missing some of my favorite shows like 30 Rock, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, and Scrubs, so this is a welcome return. What does it hold for the future of game shows in primetime television? If anything, I think it showed networks that game shows aren't second hand citizens, and they are needed so I wouldn't expect to see them completely disappear any time soon. And truthfully, it's about time for it to end. I have unbelievable respect for Michael Davies, but once

One issue I had when The Price is Right always used to do their primetime specials was my lack of general care. I found myself tuning in to see the wheel if anyone would win the million, and turning it off when it didn't happen. Thankfully they seem to have tweaked the format correctly to make sure this doesn't help. The first of the Price is Right Million Dollar Spectaculars will air Friday, February 22nd, at 8PM ET. These are the first under new (and absolutely amazing) host Drew Carey. The general game change is that you don't win the million on the big wheel anymore thankfully. Ther
