CBS Orders More “Power of 10″ For Midseason

Good news for all the fans of CBS’s Power of 10: You get more of it this coming season.  CBS announced that the show will be getting at least six more episodes for midseason.  That number might be increased depending on how some shows do.  This news came from Cynopsis.

Let’s Finally Do Crosswords!

Just in time for the season premiere of Merv Griffin’s Crosswords, their website is finally up. It is just absolutely AMAZING. They have photos, videos, bios, a complete affiliate list, and more! Check it out!

Australia Revives “Gladiators”

The United States is having a positive impact on game shows recently!  I know, I can’t believe it either!  Australian station Seven is set to announce the revival of their hit 90s show Gladiators.  An Australian nationwide search for new Gladiators will begin soon, and the US search has already began.  We have Australia and [...]

ABC Picks Up “Duel”

Updated from a previous story: ABC has officially picked up a French format called “Duel”. According to sources from Bother’s Bar, the show sees contestants going head-to-head answering Who Wants to be a Millionaire?-like trivia questions. A wrong answer eliminates you but a right answer doubles your money. If you win the “Duel”, you have [...]

Edit: I’ll have my final thoughts, some ideas for a new season, and, for lack of a better term, “good will messages”, on Monday.  We won’t devote a separate article on the championship until then, as to not spoil people.  If you’d like to be spoiled, feel free to go to the comments.
GSN’s popular summer [...]

Ratings Update for 9/7/2007

One of my favorites, the ratings page, has been updated.  We cleaned out some of the shi…er, older shows like Set For Life and National Bingo Night to make room for the new seasons of shows.  Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader? and Don’t Forget the Lyrics started out rather weak for their season [...]

Tomorrow’s the big day.  On GSN at 7PM ET, the winner of the first Grand Slam will be crowned and it will either be Ken Jennings or Ogi Ogas.  Before we get into predictions and more, let’s look at their finest moments.  Here are two videos, each of the contestant’s big wins.

We forgot to post this earlier. Feel free to comment about Temptation here.
Some people have chimed in.  Here are my thoughts…   If you go in expecting something besides a continuation from where Sale of the Century left off 18 1/2 years ago, you’ll be pleasantly surprised.  The mish-mosh of mini-games was decent.  Rossi Morreale [...]

(Santa Monica, CA) – Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2007 – GSN is bringing THAT’S THE QUESTION back for a second season on Tuesday, September 11. Produced by Scott Sternberg Productions and hosted by Bob Goen (“Entertainment Tonight,” “Miss Universe”), the fast-paced word game will air Tuesday thru Saturdays from 9:00 – 9:30 PM, ET.THAT’S [...]

“Who Wants to be a Millionaire”’s Grand Thousanth Episode

Can you believe the syndicated edition of Who Wants to be a Millionaire is having its thousanth episode of the series? It’s crazy. The show is celebrating by giving home viewers a chance to win money and, for the first time, tweaking the gameplay for just one week. From November 5th through November 9th, twenty [...]

One issue I have with some of GSN’s originals is the general lack of a decent set.  This can really mainly be blamed on a lack of big bucks like other networks have, but come on.  Chain Reaction looks like a copy of Who Wants to be a Millionaire? and Camouflage had the smallest set [...]

TVShowsonDVD.com just posted a bit of information about the Price is Right DVD from BCI who also made the Match Game and upcoming Family Feud releases. The DVD will consist of 20 of the “craziest, funniest, and most memorable moments from 1972 to 2007.” BCI has stated that the actual master episodes have been chosen [...]

Tonight’s the big semifinal match.  Whoever wins the two games tonight will move to the finals and be one step away from $100,000.  We will see Ogi Ogas take on David Legler and Ken Jennings against Michelle Kitt.  Interestingly we seem to have Ogi, Ken, and Michelle around here, so we might be able to [...]

Adam B. Vary, a writer for Entertainment Weekly, was given an opportunity to play the role of Rossi Morreale on the set of Temptation.  You can see video of Mr. Vary’s time at Temptation here.  Disregard Mr. Vary’s hosting abilities and pay attention to the show itself.  My excitement level for Temptation went from “eager [...]
