If you haven't been checking out WeDigTV recently, you should go look now. They've released a brand new site and two new games: Deal or No Deal and Who Wants to be a Millionaire?. Deal follows typical UK rules and has some very interesting twists and turns, like having to control your heart rate, judge what the offers are going to be, and say how fair the Banker is with them. Then we come to Millionaire which is a bit interesting. That game is the typical 15 question version which is strange since England just switched to pretty crappy new rules, graphics, and music. So, in review, the team at WeDigTV chose the format of the show that didn't suck. Isn't that nice of them? Click here to play those fun games, as well as others.

Sad day in the game show world today. Famous Match Game panelist Brett Somers died Saturday at her home of stomach and colon cancer, her son said. She was born Audrey Johnston in New Brunswick, Canada, and grew up in Portland, Maine. She ran away from home at age 17 and headed for New York City, where she settled in Greenwich Village. She changed her first name to Brett after the lead female character in the Ernest Hemingway novel "The Sun Also Rises." Somers was her mother's maiden name. GSN is planning a special Saturday marathon celebrating Brett Somers consisting of, of course, Match Game. Various episodes featuring the best of Brett will be shown Saturday, September 22nd, from 9AM to 4PM ET. Directly after that GSN will show the

Both shows are syndicated by CBS so it's the same interviewer, but still two totally different interviews. The set looks so awesome and Drew looks like he'll fit in just fine. There's are minor spoilers of gameplay, but nothing too dramatic. If you do not want to get spoiled by the set either, then don't click the links below. Entertainment Tonight The Insider

Michael Bevan has been promoted to Vice President, Original Programming at GSN. Bevan, who has served as Executive Director of Programming since May 2005, has been behind some of GSN’s most popular shows including CAMOUFLAGE, CHAIN REACTION, and THE NATIONAL VOCABULARY CHAMPIONSHIP. “Michael has been an instrumental voice in our game show programming,” commented Jamie Roberts, GSN’s Senior Vice President of Programming. “He’s consistently delivered for us, overseeing innovative shows like CAMOUFLAGE and, more recently, THAT'S THE QUESTION, which came to fruition quite nicely under his guidance.” Bevan will continue to oversee original series and development projects for the network. It's happy happy time! We have nine tapings of NBC's hit (and our personal site favorite) new game show, 1 VS 100 coming at you in the next few days. This is one more than previously announced by Bob Saget which is a nice surprise too. For some reason I'm placing it in Friday Night Lights time slot, or maybe Chuck. Honestly, I'm just taking a wild guess that it'll be on Fridays at 9PM ET or that Deal or No Deal moves back to Mondays at 8PM once Chuck is gone and 1 VS 100 takes the Deal Friday 8PM ET slot. But enough of me blabbering, you want to see one contestant take on the Mob for $1,000,000, don't you? Click here to do it, courtesy of OCA.

Tonight GSN will begin a new season of their hit trivia show That's The Question at 9PM ET. We already went over the new set and logo and all that stuff. Also, don't forget there are actual decent writers this season, which makes it thrilling enough. Obviously this will be waiting until it airs, but what did you think of the show? I'll throw my opinions in here later, but I'd love to hear what you all think. Remember, the new season of That's The Question is tonight at 9PM ET on GSN. The first bit of ratings are in for the new syndicated game shows and they aren't that good, especially for Temptation. Crosswords, from Merv Griffin, got a 1.0/3, down 23% from the average of the same time slots last year. Temptation did even worse; the shopping remake of a hit Australian game show received a 0.7/2, which is down 36% from the time slots last year. Crosswords may be safe because they have a GSN sized budget, but Temptation's going to need to step up to the plate a bit. All of these plus new big 1 VS 100 ratings are available on the ratings page. Thanks to reader Julia for the link. All ratings according to TVWeek.

Probably the event of many of our summers, GSN's Grand Slam, has sadly come to a close. A champion has been crowned and his name is Ken Jennings. It was a very close game except for the third round, though. If you didn't see the first round you need to look for it anywhere you can. I think I nearly vomited by the end I was so excited. A 0:00:14 second win was unreal. All of Embassy Row, the contestants, and GSN should be commended for this show. We haven't seen a show this fast and smart in ages. It was a welcome change from shows like Set For Life. I'm going to start with the few negatives I had so we can get it out of the way. First, I did not agree with the way players were seeded. I thought some sort of short minute quiz, o

If you've noticed, and I do apologize for this, but we recently added eBay ads on the site courtesy of AuctionAds. There was only one reason I added these: I honestly think these will benefit all of you. All of the eBay ads will exclusively give action information on various game show items you can purchase from eBay. If you click on the ad, you will be taken to the page where you can bid on the items. I don't get paid when you click the ad, so you don't have to avoid clicking it out of spite. I fully plan on removing the Yahoo! ads ads they don't further you, the game show lovers that frequently visit the site, at all. I sincerely hope that the eBay ads will. If you have any issues with the eBay ads, please leave a comment or email

This one is mainly taken from TVSquad, but it is close to us also. We learned early this morning that TVSquad writer Adam Finley passed away last Thursday morning at the age of 30. He was riding his bike when he was hit by a bus. I am close with some of the TVSquad writers and I can say I am absolutely devastated for him. I, and the rest of BuzzerBlog, would like to wish his family and co-workers the absolute best. You can read the article from TVSquad here.

Instead of creating a different post for each show, let's just do it all in one. In case you aren't aware, every game show under the sun starts a new season today. Wheel of Fortune begins its 25th year celebration, Jeopardy! starts a new one, Family Feud gets a new, nice logo with the same fantastic host of John O'Hurley, Who Wants to be a Millionaire? begins its sixth season on its way to its thousanth show, and finally we have the debut of Crosswords (which is quite good) and Temptation (which isn't quite good to me). Don't forget tomorrow GSN will start a brand new US season of That's The Question with a nice set and actual writers! That makes it exponentially better off the bat. What did you think about all the new shows, changes
