This is just a quick post in response to some emails we’ve received. Contrary to rumors that have been floating around for the past few minutes, the return of 1 VS 100 on Friday, May 25th, at 8PM ET consists of encore presentations. They are NOT new episodes. This comes from the mouth of the 1 VS 100 press director. Here is the upfront schedule where all major announcements will be made.
Monday: NBC
Tuesday: ABC
Wednesday: CBS
Thursday: FOX

So, the Yo-Yo’s at The New York Times got it wrong. Oy Yi Yi!
Well, it’s probably better if the new season starts in the Fall, along with DOND, anyway.

What I’m hearing is that DoND might be down to just Mondays to start the fall, and 1 vs 100 will be on the bench for midseason (one schedule has Friday Night Lights on, well, Friday Night). Another schedule has DoND on Mondays and Tuesdays, with The Biggest Loser on Wednesdays….but that schedule also has ER moving to Tuesdays at 10 and Heroes going to THURSDAYS at 10….so nothing’s locked in till they announce Monday (and even then there can be changes…Ugly Betty, for example, was originally scheduled for Friday, not Thursday)..
I’m also hearing Amazing Race didn’t make it on the fall CBS schedule, but is likely a midseason slot. Survivor is as normal. This would give the Executive producers time to work on their next project, the Oprah Winfrey reality show The Big Give…

At least it’s not Identity. It does disappoint me that NBC is considering benching 1 vs. 100 till midseason. Do they not know good television when they see it?

You left out My Network and The CW which will round out the week on Friday.

It’s NBC, what did you expect. They dont know how to do good TV anymore. At least this is a sign that 1 vs 100 WILL return with new episodes. Unfortunately we wont get to them til next year which is completely stupid. Honestly I can do a better exec job at NBC than the young execs there. All they care about is MTV-style crap.
Granted there are good shows on the network other than Deal and 100, like Medium, Las Vegas and Heroes. Maybe the office too but I just dont watch it. That’s Survivor time heh heh.

I personally am glad that 1 vs. 100 will be reruns. It’s too soon for new episodes. This is better, it’s gonna give people a chance to really miss the show and anticipate new shows that much more. Not quite sure if I like that whole midseason replacement thing, but it’s not canceled so I’m happy.

Very odd given that the 1 v 100 home game just came out…it’s clear enough the show will not be cancelled.

Needless to say we game show fans have a big week ahead of us.

Amen! Don’t forget “Survivor” finale last night. I wonder if somebody will finally win $1M on the Big Wheel.
